The Long Minuet is now with a specialist conservator for much needed attention. Originally hand painted using watercolours, it would have been more vibrant. Now the rosy cheeks look grey - most likely due to the lead blackening over time.

The Long Minuet has recently been removed from its frame to be inspected for #conservation. Having been on display for many years, the print is showing signs of age. We've had an expert to take a look to recommend how we might preserve it for future generations. #18thCenturyArt
