I understand why it’s important for venues to protect themselves from promotion abuse, but they need to use common sense. There is no world in which this player was folding quads. Not paying this BBJ with the explanation given is theft.
So apparently yesterday a bad beat jack pot hit in San Antonio for $100k but was not paid out. Here is why the cardroom said it was nullified: What do you think 🤔??? Apparently it wasn’t a badbeat just a #SADbeat #poker

More than happy to move this match to the @HUSTLERCASINOLA and force Berkey to come to LA alone to play. Then I’ll happily tell all my friends to not watch in person. But if I’m going to travel to Vegas, I want the option to bring who I please. I’m not asking for Doug or a HU crusher to sit behind me and coach. Im simply stating that I want my friend to be allowed to sweat the action. In addition, Berkey, on record calling Eshaan a losing player. Not sure why he is so worried about this.

Clarifications: I have agreed to all Berkey’s requests to this point. I am coming to where he lives, Vegas, to play him much smaller stakes than I want. He originally offered every day for 30 days, I accepted then he changed the offer. He asked to play weekends, I accepted it. He asked for a 1mm stop loss not 2mm, I accepted it. He asked for only 100 hours of play not the 200 I requested, I accepted this. All the terms set forth were Berkey’s terms outside of the 100k min. He is the pro with a training site, claiming he has crushed high stakes. I’m the guy who just lost 1mm on stream tilting his brains out vs a bunch of amateurs. Most elite players would travel anywhere and meet my demands to get this opportunity. Eshaan is my good friend, an ex engineer at Lyft and a current contracted engineer for Run It Once. I stated anyone watching match who has relationship would be asked to sit behind the player they support to ensure no verbal or visual cues, no phones or devices, no writing down hands, no coaching or helping in any way. I said I’m fine with Landon or whoever being there for Berkey if that makes him feel like it is more fair. The reason I want this is: I am traveling alone from LA to Vegas, I believe that having a friend there to support me is completely reasonable. It has nothing to do with coaching or gaining an edge. Additionally, it is completely within casino rules to sweat a poker table. I have acted in good faith as @PhilGalfond can verify throughout negotiations. I don’t believe requesting terms that are outside of casino rules is a reasonable request. The King of LA will be at @PokerRoomRWLV at 2pm this Saturday with a fucking entourage.
Replying to @shaundeeb
The counterargument is: How do I force Nik to agree to having nobody in the room when the term wasn't discussed in their initial agreement and casino rules allow it.

I believe I am following through. My original offer was 500/1k 500k min in LA or to go the Lodge. He ducked me, then offered for me to come to Vegas to play 200/400 every day at 4pm. When I accepted he reneged and I had to agree to new terms. Now he doesn’t want to let anyone watch the match. This has 0 to do with coaching or edge seeking. This is public, why can’t fans and friends sweat the action? This is entertainment.

If @RTFKT CloneX szn clothing was an actual reasonable price and didn’t try to further squeeze every last liquidity out of their most loyal clone holders that already spent thousands to own a clone in the first place, CloneX would be at 20 eth floor right now… I’m just saying.

I just read the full statement from Coinbase's top lawyer about the Wells Notice from the SEC. The thing that immediately jumps out is this: Coinbase (very reasonably) asked the SEC staff to tell them which specific tokens the SEC contends are securities. The SEC refused to tell them. This, my friends, is absolutely nuts! The ENTIRE POINT of the Wells Notice process is to allow the Defendant a chance to prepare a written rebuttal to the charges against them and, hopefully, head off a meritless lawsuit. But the SEC has refused to tell Coinbase what tokens they claim are securities! How do you rebut that? This is literally the plot of Franz Kafka's book, The Trial.
Coinbase received a Wells notice from the SEC. After years of asking for reasonable crypto rules, we're disappointed that the SEC is considering courts over constructive dialogue. But if courts are required, so be it. We'll defend the rule of law. 1/15 coinbase.com/blog/we-asked-t…
