Our wetlands are shifting inland to higher elevations, a concerning response to climate change that Prof @KerryleeRogers_ says is "a warning" to plan for sea level rise. #ShineDome22 x.com/Science_Academy/status…"

Super interesting talk by @JamesSippo about mangrove dieback in northern Aus....potential for iron toxicity to play a role in dieback? #AMSN2022

Carbon accretion rate higher in sheltered estuaries compared to open coasts. Mangroves surviving in 200x more toxic muds! Go mangroves! #AMSN2022 Great talk about magnificent mangroves by @PWaryszak

A huge week with these superstar women in the field: @Shamylto @KerryleeRogers_ @BrookeConroy13 @EmmaAsbridge. 400kg of gear. heavy machinery. Job done! Gents: don't let gender be a barrier in field research
Headed home from a week moving to the rhythm of the tides while labouring in the mangroves. Aching from all the carrying, hammering, climbing, walking, hip flexors repeatedly stepping over roots. What a joy to be surrounded by such an array of wildlife!
