6 months ago, my Nan fell over and sustained lateral clavicle and pubic rami fractures. She was D/C home with QDS care, downstairs living and mobile with a WZF.
Today, she’s back dancing 3 x a week and running after her grandson on the beach.

The longer someone stays in hospital
The higher the risk of hospital acquired harm
Getting patients home is not just about "freeing beds" it's about giving them support in the right place and keeping them well. Keeping them in hospital longer than necessary adds to risks of harm
