Thank you Lesley for taking the time to reading my blog and for your kind comments 💜 The blog took me a while to write & even longer to post with many edits in between. I wanted to be respectful to my parents, to the ‘system’ we found ourself relying on & to just be me. ♥️ ♥️

6 months ago, my Nan fell over and sustained lateral clavicle and pubic rami fractures. She was D/C home with QDS care, downstairs living and mobile with a WZF. Today, she’s back dancing 3 x a week and running after her grandson on the beach.

Well its a official. It’s never too late to get moving is it 💪🏽😀 Mary is 100 years old today and still going strong. She did the workouts with us during lockdown and she still keeps up her fitness with my senior workouts on YouTube every week❤️ RT if this inspires you 🙌🏽

Functional Independence in later life is an Area under The Curve issue. It's a 'Movement Pension'. The early you start, the better. Sure, you can make deposits later in life but the return on investment isn't nearly as much.

Throwback to doing junior leagues for my club where I'd be doing the steeplechase, 800m, javelin and relay in the one day... 🤣 EVERYONE in the UK has done this for their club at some point. 🙌 Good on her! 2 points! 👏🇧🇪

An amazing moment at the European Team Championships 🔥 Belgium's Anne Zagré was going to run the 100m hurdles but got injured 🇧🇪 So shot putter (with every point counting) Jolien Boumkwo stepped in at the last minute and this was the result 🤯

How long you can stand on 1 leg can tell you a lot about how long might live. Don't believe me. Here's why. 🧵👇 /1

The longer someone stays in hospital The higher the risk of hospital acquired harm Getting patients home is not just about "freeing beds" it's about giving them support in the right place and keeping them well. Keeping them in hospital longer than necessary adds to risks of harm
