The EC 🇪🇺 has selected 9 hydrogen projects to receive over €1 bn under the 3rd auction of the #HydrogenBank!
They will provide almost 1.1 GW of electrolyser capacity & produce over 1.3 mio tonnes of #hydrogen over their first 10 years.

Today the Gas Coordination Group met to discuss security of gas supply in the EU.
It confirmed that no immediate risks to security of gas supply are currently observed, but winter preparedness must be anticipated & potential measures coordinated.

For the first time ever, heat pumps outsold gas boilers in Germany in 2025.
48% of all new heating systems installed last year were heat pumps. Gas fell to just 39%. A decade ago, heat pumps had a 7% market share. The transformation has been remarkable.

As of today, the EU begins closing the tap on Russian gas for good.

Recent @EU_Eurostat data shows that 47.5% of EU's electricity consumption came from #renewables in 2024 ⚡️!
#WindPower represented 38.0% of the total, followed by #HydroPower 26.4%, #SolarPower 23.4%, #biofuels 5.8% and other renewables 6.4%.
