The sold-out AI for Business Leaders workshop brought industry professionals together at @NOVGlobal to explore how organizations can strategically leverage artificial intelligence. Energy Workforce Board Member Scott McCurdy, CEO of @EncinoEnviron, opened the workshop and set the stage for a morning of learning and discussion. Energy Workforce has awarded $27,000 in scholarships to 54 students for the 2026-27 academic year, continuing a more than 40-year commitment to supporting education and workforce development. โ€œStrong industries are built by strong communities, and this scholarship program is one way our members invest in the families who help power the energy workforce,โ€ said Molly Determan, President, Energy Workforce & Technology Council. โ€œFor more than 40 years, the program has helped member company employees and their dependents pursue higher education and build their own futures, wherever those paths may lead. Energy Workforce & Technology Council released its May 2026 jobs report, showing continued growth in energy services employment as companies respond cautiously to improving activity levels across the sector. As geopolitical developments continue to shape the operating environment across the Middle East, staying informed and prepared remains critical for Energy Workforce members. Today, Energy Workforce's People & Culture Committee and Middle East Chapter hosted a timely webinar exploring the implications for companies operating in the region. Energy Workforce President Molly Determan opened the session by reinforcing the association's commitment to providing members with relevant resources and opportunities for meaningful industry dialogue. Riaz Jumabhoy, Vice President/GM Eastern Hemisphere at @gdeproducts and Chair of the Energy Workforce Middle East Chapter, shared opening remarks before Dave Warnick, Partner and Chief People Officer at ChasmBridge, introduced featured speaker Brandon Martin, Executive Director of the Energy Security Council. Martin provided a current threat assessment and recommendations for protecting personnel, securing assets, and maintaining business continuity. The webinar concluded with a member discussion highlighting the importance of preparedness, adaptability, and information sharing during times of uncertainty.
