Once again - this CANNOT be put on drivers. Firms need to be legally responsible for the FULL costs of damage AND train delays. Given this can quickly run into the millions, the threat of a bridge strike resulting in total bankruptcy might help them take it seriously.

The opening date of the @WMmetro line to Dudley has been delayed again. The @TransportForWM has confirmed that the August date will be missed. In a statement it said "this is a hugely complex project." No new date has been set. The intention is still to open the line this year.

Today, the Campaign has published an open letter to @Heidi_Labour regarding the news that the HS2 train fleet contract is to be reviewed.
The opportunity to apply 8 years of learning on accessibility since the trains were originally specified MUST be taken.

Thoroughly depressed after watching #TipToe. It's a must watch. But is equally shocking & believable, which is why it hits so hard. The "SaVe ArE KiDs" narrative was dangerous in the 70s and 80s and is equally dangerous today. Yet it has made its way into mainstream politics π
