Former Madison County Engineer (Ohio) and former National Association of County Engineers (NACE) Northeast Region Vice President David P. Brand was recently honored for his dedicated service as County Engineer. The Little Darby Creek Covered Bridge was renamed as the David P. Brand Memorial Bridge. The rededication Ceremony was attended by many local dignitaries with several proclamations by city, county, state and federal Agencies. Clinton County Engineer and former Northeast Region VP Jeff Linkous and current Northeast Region VP and Mahoning County Engineer Pat Ginnetti attended to represent NACE and read proclamations from the County Engineers Association or Ohio and the National Association of County Engineers. David was a steadfast advocate for roadway safety. His commitment to roadway safety continues to save lives.

Polk County, MN received the Roads and Bridges Award for Hot in Place Recycle on their County State Aid Highway 9 from the Red River of the North to US Route 75 in Crookston, MN. The award was presented at the 2026 AEMA-ARRA-ISSA Annual Meeting. Presenting the award was Gavin Jenkins, Senior Managing Editor for @roadeditor. Donn Johnson, Dustrol, Inc. was also presented a plaque. The CSAH 9 project will be featured in March’s edition of Roads and Bridges.
