The answer is: me. After The Empire Strikes Back came out, 13-year-old me had a dream in which I was picked to be the “another”. I’m sure I would have been awesome, but they went with Leia instead.
i hate the “there is another” line yoda gives in empire. he’s now canonically supposed to referring to be leia, but at the time of release, leia was canonically not luke’s sister, despite the explicit reference to this line in ROTJ. so who is he supposed to be referring to?

This is a ridiculous shift of the goalposts for AGI: it has to be as intelligent as Einstein.
Demis Hassabis’s “Einstein test” for defining AGI: Train a model on all human knowledge but cut it off at 1911, then see if it can independently discover general relativity (as Einstein did by 1915); if yes, it’s AGI.

When you start an ideological purity campaign that calls any Republican who deviates from Trumpism a RINO, don’t be surprised when people start leaving your party. I’m a Reagan/Romney Republican, and I’ve stubbornly remained in the party to vote in the primaries despite it being clear I’m no longer welcome.

I was using ChatGPT for legal advice and it decided to completely hallucinate some preposterous nonsense about how growing wheat to use on my own farm somehow constitutes interstate commerce

I wish @grok could automatically fact-check my posts before I post them and let me know I might be wrong about something before I make a public fool of myself. (Personally, I don't really need it, but I see a lot of posts by people who desperately need it.)

This was the 1st football game I remember watching. I was 16, having mostly lived outside the US. The next season I decide to be a BYU fan so I watched or listened to every game & even went to the Holiday Bowl. Alas, that season set my expectations for BYU football for life.
Imagine calling this play. Down by 3. 30 seconds left in the game. 😂😂😂

Here's my theory on what happened in Venezuela. The FBI wanted Maduro to testify about his dealings with drug cartels. So someone wrote a memo saying, "We need to depose Maduro," using definition 3c, and someone misread it as definition 1. Hijinks ensued.

Based on that chart, I made this bar graph. Logos with multiple letters count for each letter, but a letter can only count once per year. So for 1970's 3-way tie, it counts * (Texas logo with no letters), N (Nebraska), and OHISTAE (Ohio State logo with duplicate letters removed).

Nine hundred and ninety-nine times out of a thousand, if you start with "I'm not trying to be rude here, but...", you're going to succeed at being rude. And you'll have done it without even trying! Amazing! Either you were born with the talent to be rude, or you've practiced it so much it's just second nature to you.

That should be “…officially leaves the WHOM…”, because it’s the object of the verb.
Today, the United States officially leaves the WHO, best remembered for covering for China and lying to the world. Good riddance.

I thought BYU had higher standards. Can’t we find a lineman who’s inoffensive?

I don't know why people expected SEC teams to do well in the postseason. What does the Securities and Exchange Commission know about football?

As a general rule, I root against the SEC. But given today’s results, I think it would be hilarious if Ole Miss goes on to win the national championship this year, and Lane Kiffin never wins one at LSU or wherever his career takes him after that.

As a BYU fan, I'm rooting for @TexasTechFB to beat Oregon by 28 points, preferably in a shutout.

Last play of the TCU-USC Alamo Bowl game was the surprise twist ending no one expected. Great effort by receiver Jeremy Payne to stay inbounds and get to the end zone on a play intended to get into field goal range on 3rd and 20 from the 35.
