ALT #AAMC22 | Nashville, TN | Table Topics Lunch Opportunity and Resource Disparities in Fostering Admissible MCAT Scores: Systemic Ideas to Address the Disparities and Strengthen Diversity Many aspects of the medical school admissions process are impacted by disparities in applicantsā educational opportunities and resources. MCAT scores, GPAs, letters of recommendation, and internships have disparities that may impact the acceptance of some subgroups of students. This session will focus on GPAs and the MCAT. Equity-minded premedical advisors and admissions officers have ongoing challenges in addressing these disparities in impactful ways to strengthen diversity. While good individual and school-based work is being done, this situation calls for systemic ideas and solutions. Please bring your bold ideas, and/or an openness to hearing the ideas of others, to this discussion.
