But I do think it's worth noting that there's a whole generation of students who witnessed that and thought, "oh no, maybe industry won't ever accept me or my work," and they're still thinking about it to this day---that's sad, and I hope things get better for those students

I just want to say that I know a Black employee at Amazon and this is 100% true. We need to remember that in situations like this, real people get very hurt. They deserved better. vox.com/recode/2021/2/26/222… via @voxdotcom

He pointed out Chadwick Boseman's philosophy on taking roles that mattered to his story and personal journey. Chadwick would tell his agents: “I want to work with that actor, but I don’t want to play that role. I want to meet him when I’m doing something better than that.” 1/2
