Lol Anthropic made such a big deal about their model being “dangerous” because they thought the only result was gonna be hype something something preventing China from something.
The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees. The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance. Access to all other Claude models is not affected. We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible. Read our full statement: anthropic.com/news/fable-myt…

“They’re looking to bring media organisations down.” Peter Thiel, the billionaire co-founder of genocide-linked software company Palantir, is funding a new startup that allows rich customers to file complaints against journalists using AI. Objection’s own co-founder Aron D’Souza predicts that journalists won’t exist in 20 years’ time. “This all comes at a time when journalism is under threat like it’s never been under threat before,” says @MaloneBarry on Novara Live. “It’s a really scary time.”

These consulting companies made headlines saying it was revolutionary when we were warning about circular investments & unfounded claims & they’re now making headlines saying the opposite, make money from seeding the hype & make 💰 from sounding like you didn’t do that all along.

Almost every day I'm seeing a new article about the TESCREAL ideologies. @timnitGebru and I were right three years ago, though not many people listened to us: there is a movement in Silicon Valley that wants to replace humanity and conquer the universe. theguardian.com/us-news/ng-i…

The Google ai push is proof that billionaires truly are cartoonishly greedy, they had a beloved product that worked properly and was printing billions of dollars for them and intentionally broke it in the hopes that breaking it could make them a few extra bucks right now

The Vatican could have partnered with the exploited data workers fighting for their rights, the people whose water is polluted fighting data centers, or the many other victims around the world. But no, they featured ANTHROPIC, giving them their endorsement with this "partnership."
