listening to @NjiruAdv on this Space say, he does not respect the President made me reflect on our society. Respect is not agreement. We can criticize leaders, policies and decisions without losing dignity. I wonder if he has children. If we expect children to respect parents, teachers and institutions, we must model that behavior ourselves. The culture we normalize today is the culture our children inherit tomorrow. x.com/i/spaces/1yKAPPnAqZexb

Finance Bill 2026 is finally getting the attention it deserves. Before we shout, celebrate, reject, or support, let's first understand. Good policy is built on informed citizens. The future of our businesses, jobs, taxes, investments, and opportunities is often hidden in documents many never read. "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge." — Hosea 4:6 Tomorrow night, I choose understanding before opinion, facts before emotions, and wisdom before noise

I have driven through this road before it's construction. Looking forward to do another road trip when it's done.
Opening up the country's Northern frontier and linking the region to new opportunities in trade and tourism, the Horn of Africa Gateway Development Project (HoAGDP) stands out as a transformative infrastructure programme integrating historically marginalized areas into the national and regional economy. Funded through a World Bank IDA credit, alongside support from the African Development Bank (AfDB) and the Government of Kenya, the project spans Meru, Isiolo, Garissa, Wajir and Mandera counties. It centres on upgrading the 740-kilometre Isiolo–Wajir–Mandera corridor to bitumen standards, laying a parallel fibre-optic network to expand digital connectivity and establishing key trade infrastructure including One-Stop Border Posts and river bridges at Rhamu and Mandera to ease cross-border movement. The project is unlocking economic potential by improving access to markets, enhancing service delivery and positioning the region as a strategic gateway linking Kenya with Ethiopia and Somalia. The State Department for Internal Security and National Administration is playing a critical role in supporting implementation, particularly in coordinating local oversight, enhancing road safety and ensuring secure movement of people and goods along the corridor.

Providing poor health care for the people, to remain registered with SHA- isn't this unethical .. I believe patients should never become victims of disagreements between hospitals and payment systems.

🇰🇪 X SPACE CONVERSATION The Blueprint – Informed Kenya Dialogues Kenya at a Crossroads: Politics of Progress vs Politics of Entitlement As national conversations evolve, two contrasting narratives continue to shape public discourse, often framed as “Tutam vs Wantam.” But beyond the slogans, deeper questions emerge: * Are we building a culture of productivity or expectation? * What kind of politics drives sustainable development? * Do citizens demand opportunity, or entitlement? * What incentives are shaping leadership and policy choices? In a First World economy, growth is driven by value creation, strong institutions, and accountable governance. So where is Kenya headed? Join us for a structured, balanced, and thought-provoking conversation examining the politics shaping our future. 🗓️ Wednesday, 7th May 2026 ⏰ 8:30 PM (EAT) 📍 Live on X Spaces This is not just about slogans, but about systems, choices, and long-term direction. #FirstWorldKenya #Governance #EconomicGrowth #InformedDialogue

While the right to Assembly, Picketing, Demonstration and Petition are enshrined in the the constitution, this right is not absolute and should not be exercised to the detriment of others

The unity and inclusive development championed by H.E. President @WilliamsRuto are not just in words, but in action. Across the country, ongoing government projects; from housing, roads and market infrastructure to health and education reforms, demonstrate this commitment.

The surest way to transform a village is to strengthen its schools. On the invitation of my friend and fellow UoN alumnus, Eunice Maina, we joined stakeholders and the community of Rutune Secondary School, Mukurwe-ini Constituency, Nyeri County, for a special Sunday service followed by a collective effort to support the school's ongoing infrastructure projects. Present were my colleague PS Alex Wachira (Energy), Nyeri Senator Wahome Wamatinga and Mr. Francis Ngotho from the Office of the Deputy President, among other regional leaders.

Kenya is a constitutional democracy and the law guarantees the right to assemble, demonstrate, and picket peacefully. In exercising this right, however, it is imperative that all leaders and organisers conduct public gatherings in full compliance with the law and follow the established procedures for planning and holding such events. We urge that these platforms be used responsibly, with due regard for the rights and freedoms of others. Public engagement must remain peaceful, orderly and respectful. Any form of violence, incitement or lawlessness will not be tolerated.

Ongoing construction of the Gatunga ESP Market in Gatunga Town, Tharaka Constituency, Tharaka Nithi County, stands as a clear marker of the area's transition from a once sleepy village into a rapidly growing rural hub and an emerging regional centre for business. The facility is designed to provide small-scale traders with a dignified, secure and structured environment, while strengthening local commerce and value addition. As a modern multi-purpose market, it accommodates over 200 traders and is equipped with essential amenities including cold storage and dry stores, an ICT hub, social and conference halls, as well as inclusive features such as a lactation room, accessible ramps and modern sanitation facilities. During its implementation, the project has already created employment for over 200 local youth and actively engaged jua kali artisans, injecting income into the community and building skills that will sustain livelihoods long after completion. The State Department for Internal Security and National Administration has supported coordinated implementation and ensured a secure, well-organized environment for both construction and future operations of the facility.

As Kenya advances reforms aimed at achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC), the ongoing construction works at the Mama Rachel Specialist Hospital – Mutuini, Nairobi County, are progressing steadily, with the project now at 91% and completion projected for late April. Structural works are complete, while painting, both undercoat and final coat, has been concluded, paving the way for installation of fittings, medical equipment and final commissioning works. The development is being overseen by the Ministry of Defence in close collaboration with the Ministry of Health and the Nairobi County Government, reaffirming a coordinated national effort to strengthen healthcare infrastructure and service delivery. The three-storey, 400-bed facility is designed to serve up to 1.5 million patients annually. It will host critical specialised units including Renal, Burns, Trauma, Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) services, significantly expanding access to advanced care. Key clinical components include theatres, maternity and newborn units and an inpatient pharmacy on the first floor; ICU wards, High Dependency Unit (HDU) and renal services on the second floor; and a live surgery suite to support advanced clinical care. The ground floor integrates radiology services (CT scan, X-ray and ultrasound), a high-capacity laboratory, consultation rooms, minor theatres, nutrition services, dispensing areas and specialised neonatal support through human milk banks, collectively positioning the facility as a major referral hospital. The State Department for Internal Security and National Administration is also supporting delivery through stakeholder coordination, safeguarding of public investments and facilitation of timely implementation, ensuring the hospital is fully integrated into a responsive and accessible national health system.
