Regarding RTTL, recent riots, and the general attitude of distrust towards anything that doesn’t revolve around sucking the local “conservative” party’s cock:
The world is currently dominated, and has been dominated, by highly-ideological states, all whose founders were larpers. 300 years ago, democracy was an absurd and ridiculous ideology that hadn’t been implemented ever outside of a tiny ancient city state, 2000 years prior. Now it’s an internationally-mandated ideology.
Marxism was a LARP too. A revolution, that’s impossible, I presume some people said, even people who pretended to be sympathetic. And the first few times, it didn’t work out. Then, in the span of the thirty years between 1918 and 1948, it came to dominate half of the world. What then was the Cold War, other than a battle between two kinds of LARPers?
Would you people deny the Cold War happened? Or argue that every government still on Earth operates under Feudalism? Or would you all rather concede that LARPing doesn’t always result in failure?
Racial equality was farcical less than a century ago. The underlying ideology is still farcical. Yet anywhere in the Western World you will be censored, shunned, and maybe even imprisoned for challenging it.
Things can change, and they do change, and people should generally be less suspicious of others, whose side they are purportedly on, doing things in earnest.
