Ruth Saltmarsh who recently retired from the ECI Council has received an MBE in the New Year’s Honours list, recognising her services to the community, including as a Lead Trustee for the ECI Transitions project supporting people making the transition to independent living.

I like the collective noun: ‘pride’, as in a ‘pride of lions’. It aptly describes the nobility & power of citizens who group up 2 create & produce a shared vision. A ‘pride of citizens’, less the patriarchy ‘ violence. I doubt it’ll catch on;) but we need better collective nouns.

Fun afternoon at Eaton House playing games on the lawn, it was nice to see some new faces. I was taught how to throw a horseshoe properly and had advice on the best technique for boules.
