This is heartbreaking. As a society we have failed our children if the only response to behavioral issues with a child is to arrest them. Trauma created! Where is the funding for counselors and behavioral analysts to work with our children rather than armed security.
Arrests in Florida's public schools have gone up more than 9% since the Legislature required every school host an armed guard or police officer. Our schools need counselors, not cops.
