Viola Fletcher, the last living witness of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre, has passed away at 111. Her legacy of strength and survival will never be forgotten. 🕊️🙏🏾
Community note
Viola Fletcher died on November 24, 2025, and was not the last survivor of the Tulsa Race Massacre; Lessie Benningfield Randle is the last known living survivor. 19thnews.org/2025/11/viola-… bbc.com/news/articles/…

Please bookmark this tweet! But we thought African means Black and Black means Race!
The world’s first trillionaire is African. Elon Musk was born in Pretoria, South Africa 🇿🇦 in 1971 and holds South African citizenship by birth, making him African by place of origin.

RT @CallTyroneASAP: Here is your typical "The African" who fled their homeland to be around wypipo. They praise wypipo. This one even says…

Let's make one thing clear: FBA is a lineage, not a movement. Even if it were called something else, you would still have a problem with it because you don't want Black Americans to have anything. Black Americans highlight their history and culture. You get offended

Pan-African people. It's frustrating to see you wrap yourselves in Africa, yet you don't want to live there. I'm American, and I represent one flag: 🇺🇸. I HAVE NO DUAL ALLEGIANCE.

If you are a Black American FBA (Foundational Black American), Freedman, etc., and you believe in Pan-Africanism, you should reconsider your priorities. It seems illogical to want to clean someone else's house while your own is dirty.

They can save themselves if they work on eliminating tribalism and corruption. I guarantee it.

No hate intended, but it is essential to handle your own affairs first before taking care of others. Africa needs to address issues of corruption and tribalism. With 40 to 60 million Black Americans and 2 billion people in Africa, they do not necessarily need us to save them.

It is concerning to not want your people and your lineage to have anything, while wishing for someone from a different lineage to have everything. This perspective is troubling.

Africa needs its own delineation movement. Every time an African leader speaks sensibly, another African leader undermines him. The strong must delineate from the weak, be more like Black Americans, and work to eliminate tribalism. #Fba #wisdom

I can't wait for the umbrella term "African American" to be stricken down from all books

“Pan-African” but you spent the past week discrediting Black American culture to credit every other ethnicity in the diaspora. If your theology depends on acting like my culture is second class to everyone else you could choke in front of me and I’d livestream it
