A cold front will approach the area late Thursday night and cross the region on Friday. Storms should be weakening as they approach Thursday night but a few stronger cannot be ruled out. Storms will redevelop Friday afternoon as the front starts to move out of the area.

The humid air mass will remain in place. This combined with temperatures rising into the upper 80s to around 90 both today and tomorrow will result in the heat index approaching 100. Be sure to take precautions, especially if you will be spending time outdoors.
