Today was spring planting day in FIE! The students aerated the soil and planted seeds for dill, lettuce and sugar snap peas. Then they drew a garden of beautiful flowers on the sidewalk. 🌸🌻 instagram.com/p/Cp3D3lcOlB5/…
Today in FIE, the students learned about dietary fats and oils and health. They used their senses to mindfully touch and smell margarine, crisco and olive oil. Then they each got bread to dip in and taste olive oil. instagram.com/p/CpBFD1fO9qW/…
Even through this crazy school year Bloom’s spring garden was a huge success with lots of yummy greens to donate to @feedlouisville! Thank you to our Garden Mom @pieovercake for keeping our garden going and @LouCompost for their compost donations! #bloomhere@BloomBulldogs
It has been a strange year and we all miss FIE but we’re trying to make the best of it by planting the beds with lots of veggies to donate later this spring. We also added some chalk art to welcome students back to school tomorrow! @BloomBulldogs@pieovercake#bloomhere
Bloom’s final summer garden harvest was beautiful and plenty, all veggies will be donated to Feed the West! We’re excited to get the first round of fall planting started too. A big thank you @LouCompost, @pieovercake and our FIE garden helpers! @BloomBulldogs
A beautiful morning for harvesting and planting! All food from Bloom’s summer garden is being donated to Feed the West. Thank you to @LouCompost for their compost donation, our FIE friends for helping and @pieovercake for organizing all of it. @BloomBulldogs

Come enjoy some of our 1st grader's veggies at the Fat Lamb! They are giving 100% of the sales from this special to Children Shouldn't Hunger. If you can’t join us by ordering curbside tomorrow or Thursday, please consider a donation to them at childrenshouldnthunger.com/.
Look at this beautiful bounty! It’s sad that our 1st graders didn’t get to harvest their veggies this year but giving them all to Feed Louisville makes it all worth it. Thank you @pieovercake for sharing your gardening expertise with FIE again this year! @BloomBulldogs
Today is the last day of school, it’s bittersweet because the garden is so beautiful but our 1st graders haven’t been able to watch it grow these last few months. However, “the love of gardening is a seed once sown that never dies.” Have a happy & safe summer! @BloomBulldogs
