The majority of high school baseball coaches aren’t in it for the paycheck. The hours don’t match. The stress doesn’t match. The pay doesn’t match. They do it for the love of the game, most people don’t realize that.

11 players transferred from D3 to D1 last offseason. Justin Allen led Green Bay in scoring in 10 games and helped the Phoenix to a 14 win increase, the 4th-largest improvement in the country. Real impact. #DontSleepOnD3

There’s no denying it, the weight room is the ULTIMATE equalizer. Every year there’s athletes who don’t play much and spend an off-season training and end up being the best player on the team a year later. Invest in the weight room or get caught by those who do🙌🏻

More from Gottlieb on recruiting Division III talent: "I called @DaveKlatsky last year and asked if there were any D-III transfers worth looking into. He said there was one player in our league who could play at the D-I level: Justin Allen. "He started moving the ball and attacking on the second catch. He really did a good job defensively and on the glass, and there were games in which he was outstanding against really good players. That confirmed something that Dick Bennett told me. … 'The better the kid, the more they’ll improve.' "There is no better human to play basketball for me than Justin Allen from that perspective."
