We are all clear and will be resuming curbside service today! If you've requested a pickup or have items on hold, we will be calling you to make arrangements. Thank you for your patience as we've made sure we keep everyone safe, and as we get caught up this week.
Following contact tracing protocols, Florence-Lauderdale Public Library is pausing our curbside service. This service change is a preventative measure to ensure the safety of our staff and patrons. The book drop will remain open for returns.
This year's Summer Reading Program will feature take-home activity kits, so your family can enjoy fun crafts at home! Ms. Jessica, Ms. Kristen, and Ms. Melissa were hard at work today packing one of the STEAM kits for kids. Summer Reading starts June 15!
In our first week of Curbside Pickup, we had 197 pickups, for a total of about 1,000 books, audiobooks, and DVDs, each hand-pulled and packed by our wonderful staff. Visit buff.ly/2ZGo2GQ to get started on your curbside request!
Our patrons have been excited to get library books again! We've already had over 150 curbside request forms submitted, & had 50 pickups in the first day. Thank you for supporting the library and for being patient as we figure out this new process. We love serving our community!
Libraries, uh, find a way . . . to still have great programs even while we can't gather together. On Thursday, May 21 at 11:30 am , film scholar Stephen Melvin will lead a discussion on Jurassic Park on Facebook Live. Join us at buff.ly/2UgJsY0
Our book drop is now open, so feel free to start returning your books and movies! No rush, though--all due dates have been extended until July 6. Returned items will be quarantined for 72 hours, so be aware that your items may still be on your account for about 3 business days.
