When you have to ask your endovascular colleague: “What’s the biggest stent you got?” Find out how careful analysis of hemodynamic pressure tracings helped us understand and successfully solve this TAVR complication. @JACCJournals bit.ly/3QldxzK

Master teacher & humanist, Prof Brugada citing Marriott, Wellens ( & his classic 1991 paper) "In fact, the approach used in the Basel algorithm, with simultaneous clinical and ECG data, but kept simple, following Ockham’s razor & Bayesian principles should be the right approach."

Elegant & simple way to approach wide QRS complex tachycardias! Get a history and just look at Leads II and aVR! See editorial by Prof. Pedro Brugada talking about Ockham & Bayes! @uclaCVfellows From @jaccjournals jacc.org/doi/10.1016/j.jacep…

Differentiating VT Form SVT on #ECG can be challenging! We developed a user friendly algorithm based on clinical info and 2 leads (II,aVR). In a clinical validation residents and fellows are as proficient as #EPeeps @JACCJournals tinyurl.com/44bfs5kx

Just out @CCIJournal👉bit.ly/3mVXrzh follow-up to our initial experience with MANTA @JACCJournals👉bit.ly/2QxQEzk. By implementing our findings, we were able to drastically reduce complications within a short time period: major vascular complications 7% -> 1%.

Wonderful demonstration of pressure and flow relationship! Accepting a lower BP, therefore sparing catecholamines might be ok (and maybe better?) for many patients. What is more important? - BP - indirect indexes of perfusion (warm to the touch, urine output, lactate, ect.)
In patients with #cardiogenicshock and #Impella when you increase vasoconstrictors you decrease the flow... the increase in BP just makes physicians feel good NOT the patients - Credit to C. Bowls #Harefield #RBandH #cardiogenicshock #cardiotwitter #MedTwitter #abiomedimpella

The problem with high-sensitivity troponins in NSTE-ACS is that all the reasoning about the small assay-specific 1 h change that is necessary to distinguish chronic from acute myocardial damage loses its meaning when you realize that one sneeze is enough to exceed the cutoff.
