We had a great time working with a local Primary this week. Students got to complete a variety of Science experiments including the pH scale, dissections and microscopes.
Wonderful day out at Warwick Uni taking part in the 'International Masterclass in Particle Physics'. Year 12 had the opportunity to analyse some data from the large hadron collider and compare it with groups from Oxford and Paris.
Well done to our year 12 students for attending an accessing medical day. It was a wonderful day and gave them a great insight into medicine. Thank you to UHCW for running such a great day
Science Week: Leigh CoE Primary were great today completing a variety of experiments including:
Heart dissection
Inflating lungs
pH scale
Van Der Graff
Stretching materials
Great to see the future generation of Scientists
What an amazing way to start Science week!
Leigh CoE Primary showed great Science skills in the lab with year 6 using Bunsen Burners, year 4 using microscopes and dissecting a fish head and year 3 exploring how different materials stretch.
Thank you so much to @LeighCofE for bringing the 'Flame of Friendship' Torch to FP2. We had lots of fun creating the colours of the Olympic rings by using our knowledge of the pH scale
Well done to all our year 12 Physics students who took part in the British Physics Olympiad.
