You're going to need a good 20 years for Italy to return to being a world power in football. There is no priority on youth development over the past decade or so and it's turned up at the Senior level. I hope I'm alive to see it.

It's simple, Italy at this point is an inferior national team compared to the rest of the world. The technical quality of the player pool is the worst I've seen in my 51 years of existence. I'm just not surprised anymore.
