ALT Open chromatin is labeled in the nucleus by a methyltransferase and a fluorescent cofactor. labeled high molecular weight DNA is extracted and stretched for imaging in nanochannel arrays. green genetic tags let us align the molecules to the reference genome and red tags denote open chromatin.
