"Last month, Utah Business hosted a roundtable conversation" on Commercial Realestate and spilled the beans that #Utah' has possibly overbuilt on the multi-family front. "we still have good in-migration, and Natalie Gochnour would quote that we have 40,000 to 50,000 people still migrating into the state, creating a new city essentially every year. …HAVE WE OVERBUILT? Maybe, on the multifamily front, downtown, Salt Lake County specifically. ....affordability is a concern,".....Nate Boyer, President, The Boyer Company. utahbusiness.com/qa/2026/06/… #Utah #utpol #utahhousing #utleg

Many of us, in moments of personal anguish, feel that God is far from us. The pavilion that seems to intercept divine aid does not cover God; it occasionally covers us. God is never hidden, yet sometimes we are, covered by a pavilion of motivations that draw us away from God and make Him seem distant and inaccessible. Our own desires, rather than a feeling of “Thy will be done” (Matthew 6:10), create the feeling of a pavilion blocking God. God is not unable to see us or communicate with us, but we may be unwilling to listen or submit to His will and His time. We remove the pavilion when we feel and pray, “Thy will be done” and “in Thine own time.” His time should be soon enough for us since we know that He wants only what is best. The Lord’s delays often seem long; some last a lifetime. But they are always calculated to bless. They need never be times of loneliness or sorrow or impatience. Although His time is not always our time, we can be sure that the Lord keeps His promises. For any of you who now feel that He is hard to reach, I testify that the day will come that we all will see Him face to face. Artwork: "Faith is Holding Both" by Jenna Conlin

This is the H-1B scam happening in real time in Utah. Our kids graduate from Utah universities with tech and engineering degrees, ready to work, while companies like FedEx use dedicated platforms to hand those exact jobs to foreign workers on a silver platter. This isn’t a talent shortage. It’s theft of opportunity from Utah families. Utah First. Americans First. Always.
Utah, look at this. While Utah kids graduate with tech and engineering degrees and struggle to find work in their own state, FedEx just posted a “Strat Int Sys Engineer” job in Salt Lake City, Utah, and it’s tagged right there for H-1B and F-1 OPT visa holders. Go to migratemate.co right now. This entire website was built from the ground up to give certain H-1B visa applicants every single advantage possible. • 500,000 “verified” visa-sponsorship jobs • Easy search & filter so foreign applicants only see companies that will sponsor them • “Special Offer: 30 Day FREE Trial” • “Get Access Today” so they can land their “dream job” in America before our own graduates even get a fair shot They literally created a dedicated platform to make it faster and easier for non-citizens to take these jobs. And you’re telling me there wasn’t one qualified Utah citizen who could do this FedEx role in our own backyard? This is the H-1B scam in real time, theft of wages, theft of opportunity from Utah families, and flooding our tech corridor with cheap foreign labor while our kids get pushed out. Utah families deserve better. On Day One I’ll push to pause new H-1B visas until the fraud and abuse stop. Americans first. Always.

To me, Independence Hall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is something of a sacred place. Historically and spiritually, the adoption of the Declaration of Independence and the establishment of the Constitution of the United States led the way for religious liberty as the first freedom granted by the First Amendment. How grateful we are to celebrate what the Lord has done through wise men and women to bring about the privileges many now enjoy throughout the world.

Utah CD3 deserves a fighter, not a follower. Celeste Maloy’s votes tell the story; shielding congressional hush-money payouts for sexual harassment, protecting pesticide makers from accountability, and backing warrantless surveillance that erodes our freedoms. Maloy voted against the Norman Amendment, which would have stripped $1.3 billion in earmarks funding DEI initiatives and abortion providers. CD3 deserves better.
Celeste gets low scores from conservative groups. I don't like the direction she is taking the Republican party. This is my summary of 5 of her votes. 1. Her vote to fund abortion, DIE, and pediatric gender affirming care, and many other measures added by senate democrats in to the appropriations bill. She could have voted with other republicans to support the Norman Amendment. 2. The Kill Switch. She voted with 57 Republicans and all 268 Democrats to fund Kill Switch research - also agains the amendment to remove funding for the Kill Switch. 3. She voted to move Nancy Mace's HR 1100 to the ethics committee rather than to support the resolution which would have disclosed the member of congress who have used taxpayer funds from the "slush fund" to silence victims. That fund was created for that exact purpose (yes, it is a real thing). 4. She voted against the amendment to remove legal immunity from Bayer and Syngenta - the manufacturer of pesticides using glyphosate. The farm bill was a good bill, this amendment made it so much better. The bill passed, despite Celeste voting against it - one of only 6 republicans to do so. 5. FISA - Maloy voted for the bill even though the amendment to require warrants to surveil Americans failed to pass. I also touch on the Trump endorsement that was given to all republican incumbents in 2025 before this race was even official. The other candidates for congress opted to minimize that endorsement for ethical reasons. Not Celeste, you have probably received a dozen mailers touting it, and with her $870,000 from the Chris Stewart Pack funded by Anthropic AI, you will see a whole lot more. Maybe that is why she is also pro data center regardless of transparency.

Just another not rare day for me. It is a rare day that I do not have a conversation with a whistleblower in Utah. It’s been a long election season, and there are many things I know that I cannot say……..yet. What I will say is this: We need tighter control environments and ethics rules- at every level of government. Helping yourself, your family, friends, donors or business associates benefit from your government position- elected, appointed or hired is a violation of the public’s trust. And based on the hot-line reports currently being provided to my office - I’m not the only one getting very, very sick of it. auditor.utah.gov/hotline/

Did Utah #utleg redefine what an Airport is with SB172 in 2026? Why did #utleg remove "approved by the Federal Aviation Administration" from its definition of an airport? And they included "vertiports" in the definition of an airport.

This KSL reporter could only find @Amelia4Utah, the Utah County Commissioner that was censured for committing election fraud, to comment on an elections related issue. Help me make sense of that. 🤔 Did she not do any investigation on Amelia before quoting her?
The Utah County clerk is facing backlash for filling the role of chief deputy clerk with a 23-year-old conservative influencer who describes himself as "anti-universal suffrage" and has no elections experience. ow.ly/J7E450ZaJaC
