Decentralization is the foundation of digital value. Anything else is as fleeting as a central server crash. #Web3 #DigitalAssets

That’s exactly the point. Ethereum’s value grows not only through TVL, but also through the cultural heritage being created on-chain. One day, art historians may look at Ethereum as a shared layer of truth and trust — while many traditional servers, platforms and archives will have disappeared or forgotten what happened. Blockchain is not only infrastructure for money. It is infrastructure for memory.
Eventually blockchains will be judged not by how efficiently they move value - but by the irreplaceable value they preserve.

Just picked up my third NFT from alterego: Modest — the 111-piece genesis collection by @m0dest___ . What a lot of people don't know is that alterego was born from a fascinating experiment by @TransientLabs . The idea was simple: What would artists create if nobody knew who they were? Nine creators were invited to participate anonymously during @ArtBasel Miami 2023. Using Transient Labs' Doppelgänger contracts, they could continuously add and evolve artwork over several days while hiding behind a digital mask. The focus was deliberately shifted away from reputation, followers and established artistic brands. The artwork would be judged on its own merits. Not on the identity of its creator! M0dest's contribution ultimately evolved into alterego, a collection of 111 mutable NFTs that collectors can personalize and transform over time. A fitting outcome for a project that began as an exploration of hidden identities and creative freedom. Fast forward to today M0dest is still creating some of the most fascinating experiments in Web3. With Death & Taxes, he is now running what may be the craziest on-chain game I've ever seen. Nearly 500 ETH (!!!) are already trapped in the game. 128 citizens currently remain. Only 69 can survive. And every week the taxes get higher. Players are caught between greed, conviction and financial pain. Stay too long and risk ruin. Leave too early and watch others claim the prize. 😵‍💫 As if that wasn't enough, M0dest also just released a song that can only be listened to by one person at any given moment. One listener enters. Everyone else is locked out. Identity. Scarcity. Behavior. Game theory. Looking at alterego, Death & Taxes and the one-listener song together, a pattern emerges: M0dest isn't just making art. He's designing experiments for humans. That´s conceptual digital art at it´s best. Even if it hurts and some people get ruined... 🫣

Another funny idea by @m0dest___ I was lucky and able to hear approx. 3 seconds... 🤣
i released a new artwork. it’s a song. there’s just one problem. only one person in the world can listen to it at a time. if someone else presses play, your session ends. if too many people show up, the entire thing shuts itself down because it’s getting a little too proud of itself. good luck. leaststreamed.world

This is sad, but honestly the truth about him and cardano:native - I´m afraid we´ll even see a much bigger consolidation now, which will hit a lot of tokens very hard.
Charles basically telling $ADA holders it's over...

Legend! 💪
One of the first sentences i ever put on a wall. At that time (2015, Düsseldorf), I felt the need to engage less visually and more conceptually with the phenomenon of the flood of images that reaches us daily through global data networks. It was and is about a fundamental examination of the normal questions and the contextual framework of these image fragments.

I don’t want to hurt anyone, but honestly: who needs cardano? Is there something culturally or economically relevant on the cardano chain?
🚨CARDANO SUMMIT 2026 CANCELED DUE TO VOTES The Cardano Foundation says its proposed Cardano Summit 2026 will NOT HAPPEN this year after a treasury vote failed to reach the required two-thirds approval. The revised request for 7.8 million $ADA, worth around $2 million, received 65% support but still fell short. Even late backing from Charles Hoskinson and Foundation CEO Frederik Gregaard was not enough to push it through.

True. We’re witnessing a new generation of AI-native digital artists — technically sharper, faster, and able to create outputs that were simply impossible before.
Almost every day now I’m minting work by artists I’ve never collected before. The quality is unusually high. There’s a new current running through the space and much of its energy is forming beyond the usual centers of gravity.

Just picked up this sheep from the new BRAINROT collection by @nuclearsamurai . Not because I’m necessarily a huge fan of the whole collection. It´s more meme or cartoon than art imho — but this specific image instantly got me. ☺️ A sheep with sunglasses, a hoodie and a baseball bat. That paradox is perfect: the symbol of conformity suddenly appears armed. Still a sheep, but now militant. Not awake, not free — just aggressively defending the herd logic. Maybe that’s what makes it feel so current. In Germany, and probably everywhere, we see too many people who refuse to wake up — while becoming increasingly hostile toward anyone who questions the narrative. Softness turning into aggression. Blindness turning into conviction. Brainrot with a baseball bat. Absurd, funny, disturbing — and somehow painfully accurate. Welcome to the sheep hole. :-)
