Dear @EKEDP, Please find attached the details of the power supply to FESTAC 11kV-71 Road for the month of March 2026. The average daily supply for the month was approximately 8 hours and 8 minutes, which is significantly below the expected minimum of 16 hours per day for Band B customers. This report marks the 18th consecutive month in which we have been shortchanged, from October 2024 to March 2026. Despite our repeated complaints, @EKEDP is yet to take any meaningful steps to address the persistent issues affecting our feeder. We would also like to highlight that @EKEDP has continued to maintain high energy caps for postpaid customers on our feeder, despite the substantial shortfall in actual power supply hours compared to the committed service levels. It is particularly concerning that our average energy caps appear to exceed those typically charged to households in developed countries, where power supply is constant and reliable. We therefore demand that @EKEDP compensate us in line with the relevant NERC regulations, due to the consistent failure over the past 18 months to deliver at least 90% of the committed service levels in any given month. In conclusion, we expect @EKEDP to fulfil its obligations by providing the quality of service for which we are being charged. RESTORATION OF FHA ESTATES, MD/CEO HON. OYETUNDE OJO FLAGS OFF THE COMMISSIONING OF THE RECONSTRUCTED FESTAC 1ST GATE AND SOLAR STREET LIGHTS. The Management of Federal Housing Authority has flagged off the rehabilitation of its estates across the country in line with the Renewed Hope Mandate of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. FHA is bridging security gaps and enhancing development, beginning with its estate, FESTAC.  The works include the installation of solar powered streetlights, rehabilitation of FESTAC main gate, and resurfacing of roads, all aimed at improving security of lives and property, boosting trade and commerce, and easing the daily commute for residents.  Management  will also shift focus to the 2nd and 3rd gates to completely ensure the security of the estate, which is a national monument.

I have been to both. The trick I use is: it’s 2 if there is a Festac close-by and 12 if you see baskets of tomatoes around.
