উত্তরবঙ্গের সব জেলা থেকে আগত বহু মানুষ, জনপ্রতিনিধি, তৃণমূল স্তরের বিভিন্ন কর্মী ও সরকারী আধিকারিক সহ অন্যান্যদের নিয়ে আজ জলপাইগুড়িতে একটি অত্যন্ত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ও ব্যস্ত দিন কাটালাম। গতকাল, নেপালে উদ্বেগজনক অবস্থার খবর পাওয়ার সঙ্গে সঙ্গে আমি জলপাইগুড়িতে আসি এবং সারারাত উত্তরকন্যায় থেকে উদ্ভূত পরিস্থিতি পর্যবেক্ষণ করি, সংশ্লিষ্ট সকলকে সতর্ক রাখি। আজ, আমি এখানে একটি সরকারি পরিষেবা প্রদান কর্মসূচিতে উপস্থিত ছিলাম। মহান সমাজ-সংস্কারক ও রাজবংশী নেতা ঠাকুর পঞ্চানন বর্মার প্রতি বিনম্র শ্রদ্ধাজ্ঞাপন করে কর্মসূচি শুরু করি আজ। আমরা তাঁর স্মৃতির উদ্দেশ্যে কোচবিহারে পঞ্চানন বর্মা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়, তাঁর নামে একটি মিউজিয়াম ও লাইব্রেরি করেছি এবং তাঁর পূর্ণাবয়ব মূর্তিও স্থাপন করেছি। তাঁর জন্মবার্ষিকীতে সরকারি ছুটিও ঘোষণা করেছি। আমি গত ২৬ আগষ্ট বর্ধমান থেকে দক্ষিণবঙ্গের মানুষদের জন্য পাট্টা বিতরণ করেছিলাম। আজকের সভা থেকে উত্তরবঙ্গের ৮টি জেলার ১১,৬৭৪ জন উপভোক্তার হাতে পাট্টা তুলে দিলাম। গত ২০১১ সাল থেকে রাজ্যজুড়ে এ পর্যন্ত ৬ লক্ষ ৫৬ হাজারের বেশি পাট্টা দেওয়া হয়েছে। ২০২৩ সালে সিকিমে প্রাকৃতিক দুর্যোগের কারণে তিস্তার আচমকা জলস্ফীতিতে মাল ব্লকের সুন্দরী বস্তির টোটগাঁও গ্রামের ৯৮টি পরিবারের বাসস্থান ও চাষের জমি বন্যায় ভেসে যায়। আজকে আমরা সেই ৯৮টি পরিবারকেও বিকল্প স্থানে জমির পাট্টা দিলাম। আজকে আলিপুরদুয়ার জেলার লঙ্কাপাড়া চা-বাগানের ১,১০৬ টি পরিবারের হাতে চা সুন্দরী প্রকল্পে নির্মিত বাড়ির কাগজ তুলে দেওয়া হয়েছে। এই প্রকল্পে জলপাইগুড়ি জেলায় ১,০৫৩টি এবং আলিপুরদুয়ার জেলায় ২,৯৬৯টি বাড়ি নির্মাণ করে দেওয়া হয়েছে। এছাড়াও, চা সুন্দরী এক্সটেনশন প্রকল্পেও প্রায় ২২ হাজার বাড়ি নির্মাণের জন্য আর্থিক সহায়তা দেওয়া হয়েছে। এবার উত্তরবঙ্গের চা বাগানগুলির কর্মীদের জন্য ২০% পূজা বোনাস ঘোষণাও করা হয়েছে। কেন্দ্র বন্ধ চা বাগান খুলতে পারেনি। আমরা বন্ধ চা বাগান খোলায় উদ্যোগী হয়েছি। এবছরেই আমাদের উদ্যোগে ২০টি চা বাগান খোলা হয়েছে। ১৯ হাজারের বেশি চা শ্রমিক উপকৃত হয়েছে। এর আগেও ৫৯টি চা বাগান খোলা হয়েছে। আজ এই সভা থেকে ১ লক্ষ ৫৫ হাজার মানুষের হাতে তুলে দিলাম বহুবিধ সরকারি পরিষেবা, যার মধ্যে আছে লক্ষ্মীর ভাণ্ডার, কন্যাশ্রী, শিক্ষাশ্রী, ঐক্যশ্রী, মেধাশ্রী, রূপশ্রী সহ আরো অনেক প্রকল্পের সুবিধা। জলপাইগুড়ি জেলায় ২৫৪ কোটি ৭৮ লক্ষ টাকার ১০৫টি প্রকল্পের শুভ উদ্বোধন এবং ১৪২ কোটি ৯৫ লক্ষ টাকার ৯০টি প্রকল্পের শুভ শিলান্যাসও আজ করা হল। এর মধ্যে আছে কালিম্পং জেলায় ৭ কোটি ৪১ লক্ষ টাকায় পেশক খোলার উপর ৪২ মিটার দীর্ঘ একটি নতুন ব্রিজ যা মূলত তিস্তা বাজার ও পেশকের মাধ্যমে কালিম্পং ও দার্জিলিংকে যুক্ত করল। এখানকার মানুষ সরাসরি উপকৃত হবেন। পর্যটকরাও সুবিধা পাবেন। এছাড়া উদ্বোধন হল জলপাইগুড়ি জেলায় বড় বড় পানীয় জল সরবরাহ প্রকল্প, রাস্তা, কঠিন বর্জ্য ব্যবস্থাপনা প্রকল্প, ইত্যাদি। জলপাইগুড়ি জেলার দেবী চৌধুরানী এবং ভবানী পাঠক-এর ঐতিহাসিক মন্দিরের আমরা আমূল সংস্কার করেছি। সেটাও আজকের সভা থেকে মানুষের জন্য খুলে দেওয়া হল। আমরা জলপাইগুড়িতে দেবী চৌধুরানী মন্দির থেকে জল্পেশ মন্দির পর্যন্ত একটা ধর্মীয় ট্যুরিজম সার্কিটও করছি। আজ অনেকগুলো গুরুত্বপূর্ণ প্রকল্পের শিলান্যাসও করা হল যার মধ্যে অন্যতম ২১ কোটি ৭২ লক্ষ টাকা খরচ করে চেংমারি নাগরাকাটা সড়কে কুজি দৈনা নদীর উপর পুরোনো ব্রীজের পরিবর্তে নতুন ব্রিজ নির্মাণ করা প্রকল্প। ক্ষমতায় আসার পর থেকেই আমাদের সরকার উত্তরবঙ্গের সামগ্রিক উন্নয়নকে অগ্রাধিকার দিয়েছে। গত ১৪ বছরে শুধু উত্তরবঙ্গের উন্নয়নের জন্য আমাদের সরকার সব দপ্তর মিলিয়ে বরাদ্দ করেছে মোট প্রায় ১ লক্ষ ৭০ হাজার কোটি টাকা। উত্তরবঙ্গে রাজ্য সচিবালয়, পুলিশ কমিশনারেট, আলিপুরদুয়ার ও কালিম্পং জেলা, ইউনিভার্সিটি, কলেজ —সব করা হয়েছে। উন্নয়নের এই ঢেউ বিজেপিকে ঈর্ষান্বিত করেছে। তাই তারা এখন বিজেপি-শাসিত রাজ্যগুলোতে শুধু মাতৃভাষায় কথা বলার জন্য বাঙালিদের হেনস্থা করছে যার মধ্যে অসংখ্য রাজবংশী, আদিবাসী, মতুয়া সম্প্রদায়ের মানুষও আছেন। ২৪ হাজারের বেশি বাঙালি বিভিন্ন জায়গায় অত্যাচারিত হয়ে বাংলায় ফিরে এসেছেন। আমরা তাঁদের আপন করে নিয়েছি। পরিযায়ী শ্রমিকদের জন্য চালু করেছি 'শ্রমশ্রী' প্রকল্প। এ বছর থেকে পরিযায়ী শ্রমিকদের সম্মানে আমরা বিশ্বকর্মা পুজোর দিনটিকে সরকারি ছুটি ঘোষণা করলাম।

After reaching out to 33 COUNTRIES post-Pahalgam in the last one month, how many extended explicit support to India? If we are truly a VISHWAGURU and the world’s fourth-largest economy, why did the IMF and World Bank approve $1 BILLION and $40 BILLION in financial assistance and long-term investments to PAKISTAN IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE PAHALGAM ATTACK ? How did a nation repeatedly involved in cross-border terrorism not only escape global scrutiny but get rewarded ? And more shockingly: Why was Pakistan appointed Vice-Chair of the UN Security Council’s Counter-Terrorism Committee barely a month later? NB: Over ₹2000000000000 (TWO LAKH CRORES) has been spent on external affairs over the past 10 years. The Indian public deserves transparency, accountability and results- NOT SILENCE AND SPIN!
