Ms. Lydia-Joi Marshall is a proud Caribbean Canadian woman who champions issues in health equity. Lydia-Joi currently serves as the Chair of the Board of directors of the Black Health Alliance. Academically she lends her expertise from her BSc. in Biology from Western University and MSc. in Human Genetics from Howard University. Lydia-Joi consistently strives to challenge diverse groups to examine systemic disparities and has done so through many platforms including multi-disciplinary published research, leading dynamic international workshops and most recently as a TEDx Toronto Speaker. Recently recognized as one of the top 100 to watch in Canada 2023 by CIBWE she strives to call us to the collective action of dismantling oppressive systems for the goal of unity and communal growth.

Tiyondah Fante-Coleman is a Researcher at Black Health Alliance and a PhD Candidate at the University of Toronto Dalla Lana School for Public Health. Her research interests are varied, but she is passionate about working with marginalized communities, community-based research, qualitative methods and action-oriented academia-to-systems research initiatives.Tiyondah is currently leading knowledge mobilization from the findings of the Black Health Alliance: Pathways to Care project, which aims to increase access to mental healthcare for Black children and youth across the province of Ontario. Her dissertation work is focused on the determinants of restraint use in young Black patients in psychiatric settings.

Below in Black it says Dr. Fatimah Jackson-Best Project Lead, Pathways to Care Project.Dr. Fatimah Jackson-Best is a public health researcher with a specialization in mental health and whose work primarily focuses on Black communities in Canada and the Caribbean. She holds a PhD from the University of Toronto Dalla Lana School of Public Health.From 2018 to 2023 Dr Jackson-Best led the Black Health Alliance: Pathways to Care project. Currently she is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Research Methods, Evidence and Impact at McMaster University. Her program of research will explore the impact of Islamophobia on the mental health of Black Muslims, Muslims, and Muslim women in Canada.
