By calling one changing room 'try on' while maintaining the 'men's', M&S consciously give men permission to change with women- but only if they choose to. And- the raging disrespect & stupidity aside- how on earth do they expect that to end well?

I see Nicola Sturgeon is once again complaining that I posted a picture of myself wearing a T-shirt with her name on it and the legend 'Destroyer of Women's Rights.' Apparently this didn't 'elevate the debate.' Is there a clinical term for an individual who has extreme thinness of skin when it comes to their own perceived hurts, coupled with a rhino-hide when it comes to the fear and suffering of others? I'm thinking in particular of the two women Isla Bryson raped, who had to watch their First Minister squirm and smirk on TV as she tried to avoid admitting he was a man; of the five survivors of male violence who were ready to give evidence to Sturgeon's committee on gender self-ID, but were told to put their concerns in writing while seventeen trans-identified people appeared in person; of the mother of a young girl with a learning disability who campaigned against self-ID because she wanted her daughter to be guaranteed same sex intimate care, should she need it (the mother was presumably one of those female opponents Sturgeon calls 'shrill' and 'hysterical' in her memoir); of the ten-year-old girl sexually assaulted in a public bathroom by a 6'5" paedophile who served his jail sentence in a women's prison because he called himself 'Katie'; of Sandie Peggie, forced to discuss her own menstrual history in public to justify not wanting to undress in view of a 6ft straight cross-dresser in the nurses' changing room; of Marion Millar, dragged into court because she tweeted a picture of suffragette ribbons; of the Scottish rape crisis centres reliant on government funding who were pressured to admit trans-identified males into their services if they wanted funding to continue. When Sturgeon refers to an 'elevated debate', she means a discussion that takes place within a tiny, smug bubble from which regular women suffering real life consequences of her policies are firmly excluded. These faceless ants are loftily dismissed as bigots, or, to be more precise: 'transphobic, misogynistic, homophobic, maybe racist as well.' Nicola, you hated the T-shirt picture because you couldn't ignore it, as you'd ignored so many other women trying to make you understand their concerns. Appeals to your empathy, your intelligence and your compassion all failed. Apparently the only way to get through to you is through your vanity.

The ignorance of basic biology is extraordinary but also incredibly dangerous. No human can change their biological sex. They will be affected by it all their life: child birth, prostate cancer, blood transfusions, etc so many illnesses affect us differently because of the reality of our sex. THIS IS JUDGE JOHNATHAN DURHAM HALL He refused to jail a 15 year old girl who stabbed a 56 year old man who had sexually abused her as a child. The girl was originally charged with wounding with intent but later pleaded guilty to a lesser charge. Judge Jonathan Durham Hall KC decided NOT to send her to prison, saying it would be “callous and cruel” given her trauma and the context of her life. He gave her a supervised two-year youth rehabilitation order instead of custody. The judge also refused to impose the mandatory small victim surcharge (a fine) and said, “If anyone tries to force you to pay it, I will pay it myself.” The judge was later punished for that comment and it resulted in a formal reprimand from the Judicial Conduct Investigations Office for breaching judicial conduct guidance. Full respect to this judge and credit to predator awareness for this article.

I lost my business and livelihood last year after saying I didn’t like the phrase “pregnant people” (I still don’t). Shortly afterwards, the BBC journalist Martine Croxall was criticised for correcting the term to “pregnant women” on air - and she was right to do so. This poster was spotted at Hull Royal Infirmary at the weekend - at the entrance to the Women and Children’s wing. The very same weekend a female filmmaker accepted an award for a film about endometriosis - a disease that affects women - yet referred to those “born with a uterus” rather than women in her speech. This isn’t incidental. It’s a pattern. Women are being quietly written out of their own healthcare. Out of conversations about our bodies. And, increasingly, by the very institutions and professionals tasked with caring for us. It isn’t “inclusion”. It’s an ideological position - one that replaces clear, sex-based language with abstract terminology. And in doing so, it excludes the very group the language once named. Women. And we must keep calling it out when we see it.
