@madebygoogle @FitbitSupport A bug on Pixel Watches (Fitbit) nutrition/food user interface has continued unfixed for years now. When will this be fixed? See replies for multiple user reports. More can be found. #pixelwatch #fitbit #madebygoogle

@FitbitSupport @fitbit @madebygoogle There has been downtime of a Fitbit feature for weeks now. Why isn't it getting fixed? And why isn't it documented on the Status Dashboard? community.fitbit.com/t5/Andr… status.fitbit.com/

@madebygoogle There are also other issues with the Fitbit nutrition features, which the Pixel Watch relies on, which have been ongoing for years. When will this core feature work properly? Links: community.fitbit.com/t5/Andr… community.fitbit.com/t5/Andr… community.fitbit.com/t5/Andr…

So today, I confused HTTP headers - treating "Host" as "Origin". Which was a bit daft. Worst still, I confused the two when emailing a developer from another company. Over two decades of experience down the drain! 😂🤣 #softwaredev #programming

We've got some new #Dimplex quantum storage heaters, that are supposedly "smart". But it's a completely closed system, and there's no #HomeAssistant integration! So frustrating. Anyone that's smarter than me have a solution?

It seems they use 868MHz RF - maybe someone knows of an alternate transmitter to the Dimplex Hub?

Do regular backups. Test the restore procedure. Don't neglect this. And triple check every command, script etc before it runs on live. Last week I had to be reminded - it's a bitter pill to swallow after decades of experience. Nobody's immune to stupid mistakes.

I've been given the interesting "opportunity" to learn some data recovery skills. Honestly, it's better not to need to! Do regular backups. Be prepared to restore them. And don't forget that anyone can make stupid mistakes.

I've been diving back into CSS recently for a web app reskin. I haven't done this much CSS in a while. I'm marvelling at how much CSS has evolved since I first used it in the early 00's.

Yet, with all the improvements, I'm surprised by the lack of a more elegant solution for replacing text with background images than the old negative text-indent trick! 🤯 #css #webdev

How to remind me that I don't need your app any more and should probably uninstall... Send me a notification advert.

Over 1 million people have joined Mastodon since October 27. Between that and those who returned to their old accounts, the number of active users has risen to over 1.6 million today, which, for context, is over 3 times what it was just about two weeks ago!
