🔥 2026 Wildland Fire Season Preparedness 🔥
Wildfire preparedness starts at home. Small actions can make a big difference in protecting lives, homes, and the communities we share.

Last week, first responders from UFA and South Jordan City Fire Department had a chance to know what the outcome was! After months of recovery, the patient was able to meet with the first responders and hospital workers that worked so hard to save their life.
A difficult part of this line of work is not knowing what happens after the call. Every now and then, we’re reminded why we do it — and getting to hear a positive outcome is something we never take for granted.
“Do you ever find out what happens to the people you take to the hospital?”
It’s a question we get asked regularly; and the answer is, many times we don’t!
It’s a reality that many first responders face — respond on a critical call, do everything you can to save a life and transport them to the hospital, without ever knowing the outcome.
Yesterday, a semi truck carrying 25 MILLION bees broke down in Parley's Canyon and UFA Firefighters stepped in to save the day 🐝🚒
While mechanics worked on the truck, firefighters carefully used a hose to mist the trailer and keep the bees cool, calm, and safe in the heat.
With the unseasonable hot temperatures yesterday, the bees were at risk of dying if the truck stayed parked in the sun for too long, as there wouldn't be a cool breeze from the truck moving along the highway.
The truck contained approximately 480 hives and each hive contained 40,000-60,000 honey bees.
We're happy to report that no firefighters were stung during the operation!
First responders don’t just save people… sometimes they save 25 million bees too. 💛
🔥Magna City House🔥
Earlier today, 911 received multiple calls reporting a house fire in Magna City. Upon arrival, crews found heavy smoke and flames coming from the back exterior of a single-family home, with fire extending into the attic.
Firefighters initiated an aggressive offensive attack and quickly brought the fire under control. The cause remains under investigation. There were no reported injuries to firefighters or occupants. Thank you to our partners at @wvcfd for their quick response and assistance.
