SCI Applauds Bipartisan Effort to Invest $1.9 Billion in America's Public Lands Ahead of 250th Anniversary FirearmsGuide.com - Professional Gunsmithing Library with 27,650 Printable Gun Manuals, Catalogs, Schematics & Blueprints Guns & Ammo Reference & Values Guide Safari Club International (SCI) commends Chairman Bruce Westerman (R-AR) and Ranking Member Jared Huffman (D-CA) for advancing bipartisan legislation that invests $1.9 billion in America's national parks and public lands over the next five years—without imposing new costs on American taxpayers. As the nation approaches its 250th anniversary, this initiative represents a critical step toward strengthening conservation, expanding outdoor access, and supporting the economic vitality of rural communities that depend on outdoor recreation. The legislation is projected to create approximately 72,500 jobs and generate $26.4 billion in economic activity for gateway communities. It will modernize and expand recreation infrastructure, address long-overdue maintenance backlogs, and reinforce the $1.3 trillion outdoor recreation economy. "This bipartisan legislation is a true win for hunters and our nation's outdoor traditions. It brings people together across party lines to protect access and strengthen conservation efforts so future generations can enjoy responsible hunting," said W. Laird Hamberlin, CEO of Safari Club International. "Just as importantly, it supports jobs and drives much-needed revenue in rural communities while protecting the very lands that outdoor recreation depends on. SCI is proud to support a measure that unites us around our shared commitment to preserving our outdoor heritage." Funded through foreign visitor fees, private donations, and onshore energy revenues, the proposal restores and enhances critical infrastructure, including campgrounds, trails, boat ramps, and hunting and fishing access. These improvements will directly benefit America's sportsmen and women, ensuring high-quality outdoor experiences for generations to come. The legislation also prioritizes accountability and transparency, streamlines project delivery, and focuses on high-priority maintenance needs—without expanding federal land holdings. SCI emphasizes that maintaining and improving access to public lands is essential to preserving America's outdoor traditions and sustaining conservation funding driven by sportsmen and women. As the United States prepares to celebrate its 250th anniversary, this bipartisan effort reflects a shared commitment to safeguarding the nation's natural heritage while promoting access, conservation, and economic opportunity. @SafariClubIntl #SafariClubIntl #BigGame

Team Remington's Brandon Powell and Madison Sharpe Win Top Honors at the 2026 Southeast Regional Championships FirearmsGuide.com - Professional Gunsmithing Library with 27,650 Printable Gun Manuals, Catalogs, Schematics & Blueprints Guns & Ammo Reference & Values Guide Remington Ammunition's Brandon Powell won his second consecutive NSCA regional championship with another stellar performance at the 2026 NSCA Southeast Regional. Following his win at the Northeast Regional in May, Powell continued his excellent shooting at challenging courses with a deep and competitive field of shooters. Powell last won the Southeast Regional in 2024. Madison Sharpe was the Lady Champion, taking top honors in both the Main Event and Prelim. The championship had 706 shooters and was held at the Quail Creek Sporting Ranch in Okeechobee, Florida, June 3-7, 2026. "Overall, I shot steady, and the event organizers did an excellent job of throwing the targets," says Powell. "The targets were some of the hardest we shot all year and might be the most difficult we will shoot for the rest of the year. These Regionals dictate and pick who is going to shoot for Team USA and represent our country when we compete overseas. Proving you can shoot hard targets is a big thing for the sport, and the difficulty level was definitely there," he said. Besides the Main Event title, Powell also won the Pro Challenge event, among top finishes in other events as well. Additional members of Team Remington also won individual events, including Braxton Oliver winning High Over All in the Super Sporting and Sporting Lite Prelim. Todd Hitch earned Runner-Up honors in the 5-Stand event, with Michael Luongo capturing third in a field of 364 shooters. Luongo won the Adio Cup and had podium finishes in the sub-gauge-specific events. In addition to the High Over All in the Lady Main Event, Madison Sharpe also won the Prelim and Sporting Lite titles. "Brandon and Madison have been dominant domestically this year with championship performances at top sporting clay events, which I am sure will lead to top performances at international events throughout the year," says Jason Nash, Remington's Vice President of Marketing. "We congratulate them and the rest of Team Remington on these outstanding performances," he said. Team Remington competes and wins with Remington Premier shotshells. Top quality, consistency, and accuracy come standard when trap, skeet, or sporting competitors shoot the iconic Premier STS and Premier Nitro families of ammunition.

SAF Calls on Virgin Islands to Reconsider Gun Control Bill FirearmsGuide.com - Professional Gunsmithing Library with 27,650 Printable Gun Manuals, Catalogs, Schematics & Blueprints Guns & Ammo Reference & Values Guide BELLEVUE, Wash. — The Second Amendment Foundation (SAF) today submitted formal testimony to the 36th Legislature of the United States Virgin Islands opposing Bill No. 36-0144, which would adopt expansive gun control laws in the territory. SAF advises the Virgin Islands legislature to adopt a wait-and-see approach given that multiple pending cases before the U.S. Supreme Court and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals will directly impact the constitutionality of many of the bill's provisions. In a letter to Senate President Milton E. Potter, SAF highlighted that the amendment contains numerous Second Amendment violations – including restrictions on carry in places where such limits are impermissible, bans on common arms in violation of Heller, and exorbitant fees that effectively tax the exercise of a constitutional right – but emphasized a practical reason for delay. "Many of the very laws that the bill would enact are already awaiting court rulings that would be binding on the Virgin Islands," SAF wrote in the letter. "There is no reason for taxpayers to incur the expense of potential lawsuits, especially at a time when the Virgin Islands are already under federal scrutiny for related issues. These questions are all about to be answered in other cases." The letter specifically notes that the amendment's "vampire rule" restricting carry on private property open to the public without affirmative permission is set to be decided by the Supreme Court as soon as this week in Wolford v. Lopez. It also flags en banc Third Circuit cases addressing "assault weapon" and magazine bans and sensitive-places restrictions (including SAF's case Koons v. Attorney General of New Jersey) – all of which involve issues directly implicated by the Virgin Islands legislation. SAF offered to provide detailed substantive arguments on each constitutional defect if senators are interested but stressed that the pending litigation alone warrants pausing the bill rather than rushing it into law only to face likely invalidation while saddling taxpayers with unnecessary legal bills. For more information visit SAF.org. #SAF @SAF #2A #gunrights

Announcing The Briefing: FFL Compliance Summit, a three-day event taking place September 23–25 at the W Dallas. What The Briefing Is — and Why Nothing Else Comes Close The Briefing is not a trade show. No exhibition floor. No product demos talking over the speakers. No panels crammed between vendor booths fighting for your attention. It is something the industry has never needed more: a focused compliance summit, built exclusively for Federal Firearms Licensees and the professionals who serve them—arriving at the exact moment the ground beneath every FFL is shifting faster than it has in a decade. Consider what's already in motion. ATF's 34-rule regulatory overhaul. A revised Form 4473. New adverse action frameworks. Updated eForms and NFA transfer requirements. New enforcement priorities. Any one of these could reshape how you operate. Together, they rewrite the rulebook. The Briefing confronts all of it—directly from the source, with no filter, no sales pitch, and no distractions. This is where you find out what changed, what it means, and what to do about it. Before it costs you. Confirmed Speakers The speaker roster is headlined by government officials speaking directly to the FFL community: Rob Cekada, Director, ATF Robert Leider, Chief Counsel, ATF Edward Stely, Chief, National Tracing Center Division, ATF Eric Moore, ATF/FFL Liaison, NICS Section, FBI Michael Fronczak, Director of Compliance, FFLGuard Additional speakers covering FFL legal defense, A&D compliance technology, and 4473 best practices are also confirmed. The full speaker list is available at fflbriefing.com/agenda. Three Days. One Room. Direct Access to the People Writing the Rules. The summit kicks off Wednesday, September 23 as attendees arrive for registration and a welcome reception—the first chance to connect with peers and set the tone for what's ahead. Thursday is the main event, and it doesn't let up. The day opens with a keynote from the ATF Director, then dives straight into the issues shaping the industry right now: new regulations, the revised Form 4473, NFA on eForms and SOTs, and ATF's adverse action policy. The day closes with a private dinner reception—conversations that keep going long after the sessions end. Friday brings the summit home with another keynote, focused breakout sessions, and a hosted lunch to send attendees off with the connections and answers they came for. And throughout it all: every general session includes structured Q&A. This is your direct line to government speakers—the rare opportunity to put your operation's most pressing questions straight to the people who matter. Attendance & Pricing Attendance is limited to Federal Firearms Licensees and select professionals who serve the FFL community, with a cap of two attendees per FFL to keep the room focused. Tickets are $499 per person—or $399 with the early-bird discount, available for a limited time. #FFL #Conference #gundealer
