🚨 BILLBOARD CAMPAIGN LIVE in USA— 1,000 DAYS OF ILLEGAL IMPRISONMENT 🚨 Today marks 1,000 days since former prime Minister Imran Khan was imprisoned under a regime accused of silencing dissent and dismantling democracy. Now, this message is impossible to ignore. 📍 billboards are LIVE on the New Jersey Turnpike (I-95) — one of America’s busiest corridors — bringing Pakistan’s democratic struggle to the heart of the New York–Philadelphia corridor. Under the shadow of power tied to Illegal and illegitimate military regime what we are witnessing is not justice — it is political persecution. 1,000 days of:▪️ Solitary confinement▪️ Denial of fundamental rights▪️ Reported medical neglect — Loss of his vision including his wife. The United Nations Working Group on Arbitrary Detention has declared his detention arbitrary, illegal, and politically motivated. The United Nations Committee Against Torture has repeatedly emphasized the obligation to prevent custodial abuse, ensure medical care, and uphold humane detention standards. Meanwhile, U.S. legislative efforts — H.R.2311 and H.R.5271 — raise alarm over: ▪️ Human rights violations ▪️ Democratic backsliding ▪️ Rigged elections ▪️ Enforced disappearances ▪️ Media censorship and judicial suppression. ▪️ Potential sanctions on perpetrators This is a defining moment. The world is watching.History will remember who stood for justice. Special thanks to the Pakistani American diaspora for their support and standing firmly against oppression, injustice, and dictatorship. The only way forward is clear: respect the true mandate of the people, ensure justice for all political prisoners, and restore stability by releasing Imran Khan—rebuilding trust with the diaspora, international institutions, and securing long-term peace. #ReleaseImranKhan #HumanRights #Democracy #Pakistan

Conflicting reports and persistent rumors about Imran Khan's health and well-being continue to raise serious concerns. While recent regional developments and Pakistan's diplomatic role have dominated headlines, questions surrounding the treatment, medical access, and condition of Imran Khan, Bushra Bibi, and other detainees cannot be ignored. The lack of transparency regarding their health—even for immediate family members—is deeply troubling and falls short of internationally recognized human rights standards. In my upcoming meetings with senior U.S. officials, the welfare, healthcare access, and human rights of political detainees particularly @ImranKhanPTI in Pakistan will be among the key issues discussed. #FreeImranKhan #HumanRights #HealthcareAccess

#Pakistan: CPJ calls on Pakistani authorities to immediately release journalist Sohrab Barkat who was arrested on June 5 at his home in Islamabad over reports on his YouTube channel about protests in Pakistan-administered Kashmir. Pakistani authorities previously detained Barkat, without charge, from November 2025 to March this year in connection with his journalism. Pakistan: Responding to the authorities’ violent and sweeping crackdown on protests in Pakistan-administered Jammu and Kashmir, Amnesty International said ⬇️ “Branding a grassroots organization as ‘terrorist’ on vague grounds, while simultaneously cutting the region off from the outside world, raises serious concerns regarding the Pakistani authorities’ conduct and their disregard for human rights. The proscription of JKJAAC under anti-terror laws is disproportionate, unlawful and a violation of the right to freedom of association.” Read more here: amnesty.org/en/latest/news/2…

The pattern is consistent across Pakistan, state violence against civilians, normalised over years of impunity. If this dictatorial regime didn’t have US & Western approval, the condemnations would be deafening.

Thank you for raising awareness of this issue @TLHumanRights. Congress should tell Pakistan's government that practicing law is not a crime. Enough with the delays - release Imaan Mazari & Hadi Ali Chattha now. Read more here: amnesty.org/en/documents/asa…
Convicted in a secret, one-day trial that denied them due process, human rights lawyers Imaan Mazari & Hadi Ali Chattha face more delays. Last week, the Islamabad High Court postponed their hearing because the prosecution failed to show up. Pakistan must release them now.

The Tom Lantos Human Rights Commission (TLHRC), a bipartisan body of the U.S. House of Representatives dedicated to promoting and defending internationally recognized human rights, has previously raised concerns regarding the arrest, detention, and harassment of Pakistani human rights lawyer and activist Iman Mazari-Hazir, citing broader concerns about freedom of expression, due process, and the shrinking space for civil society in Pakistan. @RepMcGovern #RepChrisSmith

We are concerned that the upcoming cause list of the Islamabad High Court does not include the hearing of @ImaanZHazir and @AdvHadiali case. We are closely monitoring the situation and urge the @GovtofPakistan to ensure a fair and free trial for Imaan. @PakinNorway @EUPakistan

🔴 This follows a familiar pattern. From the killings of peaceful protesters in Islamabad in 2024 to the deadly crackdown in Muridke in 2025, the playbook never changes: paramilitary deployments, communications blackouts, mass arrests, and the branding of dissent as "terrorism." Azad Kashmir has now witnessed multiple violent crackdowns on civilians demanding basic economic rights. History shows that suppressing legitimate grievances through force does not restore stability—it deepens distrust, fuels resentment, and further erodes democratic spaces. #FascismUnderAsimLaw #Kashmir #Pakistan

@MiddleEastEye has missed the mark on Pakistan here. Analysis of Pakistan requires an understanding of the country's internal democratic struggle and the role of the military establishment in shaping political outcomes. Without that context, important realities are often overlooked.

The brutality of military dictatorships knows no bounds, as fundamental rights, freedoms, and human dignity are repeatedly sacrificed to maintain power.
Imran Khan's imprisoned wife Bushra Bibi has suffered damage to her eyesight in prison and been banned from meeting with family. She has also reportedly lost over 20kg while being kept in an atrocious prison conditions by Pakistan's military dictatorship: dawn.com/news/1986585

Unfortunately EU Parliament & all related Institutions have miserably failed to raise voice for Human Rights, Media Freedoms & political & religious plurality. Pakistan is perhaps the biggest beneficiary of GSP in the world; this alone provided EU a strong leverage & responsibility that could have been used to prevent fascism that has been imposed through 26th & 27th Constitutional Amendments, total destruction of High Courts & Supreme Courts, muzzling of media & using military controlled courts to declare dissenting journalists as “Digital Terrorists” - at no point was EU ever able to take a meaningful position. EU institutions are fast becoming irrelevant, people like Kaja Kala don’t even know what they are talking off. GSP was not be blocked, it was a leverage that was to be used wisely for Democracy, Human Rights & Media Freedoms, If EU leaders had any genuine convictions in the rhetoric they use from time to time for petty politics. Only few countries like Spain have tried living up to the promise of what EU was meant to be. Growing failure of “values” is a sign of a collapsing EU @EUPakistan @EUCouncil @IHRF_English @EUCouncilPress @EU_Commission @kajakallas
Vice President of European Commission @kajakallas told me that Pakistan needs to improve the human rights situation because it is benefiting from GSP plus status and this status is linked with 27 international conventions, the monitoring report about Pakistan will come next month.

🌙Eid Mubarak to all celebrating around the world. As families gathered in prayer, many political prisoners in Pakistan — including Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi — remained separated from their loved ones and denied the basic right to practice their faith freely, including offering Eid prayers, congregational worship, and religious observance in detention. Religious freedom is a fundamental human right, not a privilege granted by governments. On this Eid, we remember all those unjustly imprisoned and pray for justice, dignity, compassion, and freedom for political prisoners everywhere. #EidMubarak
