Matching the performance of DJI products is hard to do. But we did it. US-made @FlybyRobotics F-11 flight time exceeds DJI Matrice 350 at all payload weights.

It took ludicrous amount of work, but our doodle lab RF streaming on high res payload is now finally look proud. Doodle labs is stupid hard to get it to work well on a system, but if you keep on throwing yourself on a wall, you can get good results.

if youโ€™re used to DJI consumer drones the significance of this might be lost this level of telemetry / bandwidth in contested environments is unbelievably good great job guys!!

words in @palladiummag this morning on naval battles, exploding shell guns and what the first โ€œmodernโ€ war has to teach us about the importance of early adoption give it a read :)
Not every innovation in military technology transforms warfare at first. But only early adopters find the ones that do, whether they are 19th century ironclads or 21st century drones. Read the new article by @CatOrman1 here: palladiummag.com/2025/01/24/โ€ฆ

Hereโ€™s a quick thread on philosophical design differences between @FlybyRobotics and DJI.ย  Weโ€™ve designed the F-11 to be an actual open platform for machine learning at the edge. Here's how we're building this:

What has been happening in the world of Atoms? - @spinlaunch has raised $11.5M. The Long Beach-based company is developing a "ground-based, electric-powered kinetic launch system" to send satellites into low-earth orbit. - @anduriltech has partnered with @OpenAI "to develop and responsibly deploy advanced artificial intelligence (AI) solutions for national security missions." - Mesa Quantum has been awarded $500K from the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade. The capital will support the development of their quantum sensing products and the hiring of local talent. - @AaloAtomics has received approval from the DOE to pursue authorization for its experimental Aalo-X reactor at Idaho National Laboratory. - Northrop Grumman has transferred mission operations and completed the activation of Space Norway's Arctic Satellite Broadband Mission (ASBM), enhancing satellite communication capabilities in the Arctic to support both Norway and the U.S. Space Force. - NexGen Energy, the Canadian uranium mining company, has agreed to provide 5 million pounds of uranium to various U.S. utility firms. - @yashgodiwala has joined @basepowerco, the cutting-edge distributed battery startup based in Austin, Texas. - @FlybyRobotics, the American UAS producer, has made significant strides in 3D scanning using their drones. @JHL_Express (Co-founder) stated, "A Flyby F-11 drone can be turned into a massive 3D scanner. We just digitized our test site with a 12-minute flight." Video shown below.
