came up in discussion i was having earlier, but i wish more games had interesting and apparent UI/interface/control malfunctions when things go terribly wrong, instead of your damage/hp display neutrally and perfectly informing you exactly how close to nonfunctional you are

i'd love to see UI that is increasingly becoming unreliable and impaired as the in-game machine it is a part of loses functionality. Interface equivalent of being punch drunk.

that and stuff like catastrophic impacts sometimes causing gremlins. like say a vehicle's wipers getting toggled on after a crash. or a weapon firing uncontrollably till it runs out of ammo or burns out following a major hit. Or you can't turn left without your radar failing.

What's the earliest game art you created that you can find? Post it in the comments. I made some of the weapons for Urban Terror, a Quake 3 mod around 2000-ish, I think I was 15 or 16. The SR25 was a few years later, the first time I baked a normal map from a high poly mesh.

Just found out about a game called Interstate '76. Vehicular combat game with a sort of proto-Killer 7 visual style. Set in an alternate timeline where the 1973 oil crisis was never resolved. Looks pretty neat.
