1/ On June 12, 1982, over 1 million people converged in Central Park and marched on to the UN demanding an end to nuclear weapons. The largest protest in American history, the rally brought together hundreds of organizations united for global peace. 44 years later, that call is still urgent. #NuclearBan #CentralParkRally

Tomorrow, we're announcing the astronauts flying aboard Artemis III, the mission that will test rendezvous and docking capabilities with commercial lunar landers in low Earth orbit. If you could ask the Artemis III astronauts any question, what would you ask them?

This #WorldOceansDay we remember the lasting damage done by US nuclear testing in the Bikini Atoll and throughout the Pacific. Our oceans are at the frontlines of the nuclear age, from nuclear testing, to nuclear armed submarines, waste contamination, and missiles lost at sea.

The heart’s constant beating may actively suppress tumor growth in cardiac tissues, a new Science study reports. This is because cellular pathways in these tissues alter gene regulation in cancer cells to keep them from proliferating. The findings shed light on the role of mechanical forces in protecting the heart from cancer and may pave the way to new cancer therapies based on mechanical stimulation. Learn more: scim.ag/4cWFImV

"When I draw a molecule in China or in Argentina, it is the same molecule. People understand immediately without knowing Spanish or Chinese. That is beautiful. Our common goal is not about power or borders of the country, it is about bringing forward human knowledge." - Ben Feringa, awarded the 2016 Nobel Prize in Chemistry
