As well as all the services that normally attend to support local residents there will also be private showers provided by @showerboxldn available at the @kcahtweets car park KT2 6 QL and Shower gel, shampoo & towels will be provided

Movement at the (former) Kingfisher - What gives and when?
You'll likely have seen things going on at the site in recent days.
The council's construction partner has made a start on the enabling works, which will include creating a temporary site access point.

The trees are being pruned (in line with planning permission) and the hoarding has been extended to include the playground (the new playground on Fairfield is now open).

Construction work should start next month - just waiting on the discharge of the pre-commencement planning conditions.
The new leisure centre should be opening in Spring 2027.

What's going on at Kingston Library?
A part of the building's ceiling has fallen in, so we've had to close it ATM. We're not sure if this was due to Storm Bert at the weekend, nor are we sure if there's something more fundamentally wrong with the ceiling.
