Gabriel Gudmundsson to #LUFC 🧵
Leeds are set to sign a left back with the 26 year old Swedish international close to signing from French side Lille.
So how does he play and what are his strengths & weaknesses? Let’s find out.
Had a look at tomorrows opponents Brentford to see how they approached the Wolves game. Wolves being a good blueprint given they play the same base formation as ourselves. #LUFC
Watched Brentford vs Wolves in preparation for tomorrow's game against Leeds. Not going to be an easy game but also there was some areas of weakness I think Leeds can exploit. Let's take a look at how Monday nights game played out.
Tomorrow night sees Calvert-Lewin up against his former club Everton. Safe to say that the player that replaced him isn’t quite doing as well as DCL is for Leeds. #LUFC
was a big fan of Barry prior to his move to Everton and I still think he will come good for the toffees but right now it’s looking like a better deal for Leeds.
Yesterdays performance showed how close we are to becoming a steady mid table team. A few signings away and decision making (from both Farke and the players) to getting something yesterday and extending the gap. Horrible to lose in that manner but that performance..
The club shouldn’t judge on who they bring in but equally it’s as important to be good at selling players. Too many Farke doesn’t trust for whatever reason need to be moved on and bring in players who can contribute beside the last 5 mins of games.
Not a bad start to the year! Very good point away from home and continue our unbeaten run going into Sunday’s game. Shame Ampadu will it due to suspension but I’m sure who ever comes in with be more than up for it. #LUFC
7 clear of West Ham again and another matchday down. Still a long way to go though and they seem to be rolling the dice on new signings. Absolute vital window for ourselves, need a few bodies in who can really up the level.
We play 7 times in January (1 game in the cup) so massive month coming up. Same with the transfer window. Got ourselves into a really promising position but feel like getting through January with plenty of points clear of the relegation is crucial. #LUFC
Think need at least 3 signing in January. Another striker to play alongside DCL or replace him if injured. Another CB (maybe depending on Rodon’s injury) and then a creative player who can ideally play in midfield or wide if needed (a bit like the role Brendan is playing).
Both games against Sunderland prior to the season starting would have been games I’d fancy us to get 6 points. However with how the season has gone and the fact Sunderland are still unbeaten at home, really tough game today.
