We look forward to Prof. Simon Hammann and the other professors' inaugural lectures at the Meet the New Professors event tomorrow at 1 PM. We’re excited to hear about "The Wondrous World of Food Lipids" and introduce our lab at the poster session. We can’t wait to see everyone!

Only one hour before the @GDCh_aktuell Lebensmittelchemikertag starts! I'll be giving a talk on lipid profiling in food supplements (today 4 pm) and my colleague Anne is presenting a poster on quantitative fatty acid analysis in these (ATW-A-013). Come by and check it out!

I had the pleasure to host @Emma_J_Loftus this week for some first training on lipid analysis on pottery - this time with modern analogues, next time hopefully with archaeological material. Looking forward to having you back in the lab soon Emma! x.com/Emma_J_Loftus/status/1…

I've been training in lipid residue analysis this week with the fantastic @Simon_Hammann as part of my @MSCActions project. So grateful for the opportunity to learn cool new skills and brush up old ones (*cough* pipetting). Can't wait to start on archaeological samples!

Please do check out this special issue on Oxidized lipids in food and nutrition that I am co-guest editing. Nice journal and OA fees are waived for all articles, so it's a great opportunity to publish your research in this area!

Who says chemistry can't be pretty? Beautiful silica column by Tobias Harand, who is currently doing his thesis work with me.

Cleaning the GC-MS ion source today! Let's see if I'll put it back together correctly right away... I must admit I find source cleaning rather relaxing and even somewhat enjoyable.
