Today we'll be sharing Amour Fou for the first time. What began as our Bière De Garde in August 2018 took on an entirely new form following a period of aging in freshly-emptied red wine barrels and re-fermentation on second use cherries.
Today we’ll be sharing our 2019 batch of Copestone - this time aged in Bourbon and Port Wine Barrels. Maris Otter and a variety of English specialty malts take center-stage, supported by multiple additions of Dark Muscovado sugar and plenty of rich barrel character.
On Thurs, Nov. 21st we’ll be releasing Avalonia: Cherry. After over a year in wine barrels, this beer was blended and re-fermented on a mix of tart Montmorency cherries from the Hudson Valley along with (a smaller percentage) of dark, sweet Schmidt cherries.
We're pleased to share a new addition to our farmhouse lineup this week: a little Table Beer we’re calling Pebble. Mixed culture fermented, naturally carbonated in the bottle and presented in the spirit of subtlety and refreshment. $11 / 750ml. 12pp.
Also new this week is Woodline - rich, rounded and unencumbered by adjuncts, we’re thrilled to make it our first stout in cans. On the other end of the spectrum is a fresh batch of Little Brook, our American Blonde Ale dry-hopped with Amarillo and Citra.
Tomorrow we’ll be releasing Witch Meadow bottles. First up is our annual presentation of the base beer - aged in a combination of Willet Bourbon and Buffalo Trace Bourbon barrels.
Witch Meadow Black (2019) features additions of Amburana Wood and Cascara. Also known as Brazilian Oak, Amburana throws unmistakeable and pronounced gingerbread spice and vanilla while cascara rounds things out with impressions of dried dark fruit (cherries and raisins).
Back in February we got together with our friends Matt and Cobi from @TiltedBarnBrew - together we set out to create a beer that wove together unique threads from each of our respective homes into a cohesive yet wholly collaborative effort. More info: foxfarmbeer.com/persimina
Scatter makes its can debut this week. It’s our toasty take on an American Brown and a beer we can’t get enough of this time of year. Also, a fresh batch of Layers, our IPA featuring Strata hops. Just the second batch, this beer and this hop have quickly become crew favorites.
The annual grape harvest here on Music Vale Road is imminent. In celebration of the season and occasion, we’re proud to share our second batch of Annata - 2018 Vintage. Brewed nearly a year ago, aged in stainless and oak and re-fermented on our family-grown St. Croix grapes.
Tomorrow we'll be introducing Quiet Night, our take on a Czech-Style Dark Lager (tmavé pivo). Made with Bohemian barley, Czech Saaz hops and lagered for over six weeks, it's soft and creamy but with that clean lager finish you'd expect. Cans and draft available along with Daylily
Tomorrow, Avalonia: Raspberry. A blend of mature, mixed-culture fermented, wine barrel-aged beer refermented on 500 lbs (over 4 lbs per gallon) of red raspberries from Nourse Farms in Whately, MA.
