My guess: this will not impact the IPO at all. Because it makes no difference wether you can monetize your supposedly world-changing flagship product or not. Right?
The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees. The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance. Access to all other Claude models is not affected. We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible. Read our full statement: anthropic.com/news/fable-myt…

Some longer quotes from the letter sent to 🇩🇪 MoD by „Team Gen 6“, the Airbus-led 🇩🇪 consortium. They describe an air superiority fighter that can act as a command fighter for other manned and unmanned fighters. Sounds very F-47. H/t to @AugenGeradeaus augengeradeaus.net/2026/06/n…

One wonders: is Luftwaffe getting out of the air-to-ground business? As described, this is an EF replacement. However, with T4/5 and fleet-wide ECRS Mk1 upgrade, more Meteor, potential GlobalEye acquisition, A2A would not come to mind as the most pressing gap. Weird. /end

🚨 BREAKING - first design sketches of future Airbus-led NGF have emerged. Twin engine design with quite a punch, as expected.

Pistorius spelling out the options: 1. More F-35 2. Join EXISTING int’l program 3. Go national, under Airbus leadership Mentions a 4th option he does not want to talk about yet. #2 is GCAP. #4 MIGHT be a collaboration with SWE. No decision made. Not yet ready for decision.
No new fighter jets through FCAS – Germany and France have buried their joint effort to develop Europe's next generation fighter aircraft. So, what now? Germany's defense minister said several possible alternatives are on the table, including a German initiative involving Airbus.

Useful summary article, while we are slowly drowning in coverage. I found this bit amusing: “Schweden verfügt über eigene Kampfflugzeugkompetenz und setzt traditionell auf pragmatische, exportorientierte Lösungen.” Export as a driver of 🇸🇪 fighter design is an interesting take.

According to @faznet agreement between Merz and Macron that Airbus and Dassault could not find a way to work together. @ValkStrategy @AlexLuck9 @Leopard24theWin @FTusa284 @Rotorfocus @GarethJennings3 At least there is now clarity before ILA kicks off.

So, the NGF is gone. No word on Eumet. The rest of the project is supposed to continue, i.e., cloud/software/systems integration, as well as remote carriers and CCAs. We will see how well the latter will work, given French funding for Neuron 2.

Pretty sure this is not supposed to happen…

Great read on the requirements and motivations that led to the selection of FDI by Sweden, (moderate) changes to the French baseline design and why FDI would/did not for the other Scandinavian nations. Bring some time, this is a long read.
Why did Sweden end up with the FDI, do they need a frigate at all, wouldn't buying Swedish be better, what did they change and why, and why can't the Nordics find a common frigate design? All of this, and a picture of HMS Göta Lejon, over on the blog. corporalfrisk.com/2026/05/25…

Maybe they should have ordered SBD II sooner if just a few days after the announcement, this happens…

Future of the attack helicopter? Heer artillery unit tests the „Aufklärungs- und Wirkungsverbund“ (reconnaissance and effect complex) for the first time under realistic conditions. Recce drones (Quantum Vector) loitering munitions (STARK, Helsing, RM). /1 bundeswehr.de/de/ausruestung…

Expected success rate (defunded as target destroyed) of 25%, or 1 in 4 fired munitions. Targeting armor from FLOT to about 100 km behind FLOT. Expect continuous system updates (hard- and software), so „system will never be done“. /2

If they get this to work reliably, it will take away a large chunk of the anti-tank mission of today‘s attack helicopters. Only crucial advantage will remain: AHs can get to places quickly and concentrate fire there. It would, however, point to a much smaller force. /end

The state should leave private enterprise alone and steer clear of „Golden Shares“ and outright state-ownership. I do applaud this decision. Owners look after their interests first. So will 🇫🇷. Expecting anything else is naive. Balance is necessary. 🇩🇪/🇫🇷 balance is necessary.
Lange war die Höhe der Beteiligung umstritten: Der Bund will nun zunächst 40 Prozent an dem deutsch-französischen Panzerbauer KNDS übernehmen. So viel wie Paris. spiegel.de/politik/deutschla…

Maybe Luftwaffe feel with ECRS Mk1, they do not need it to fight VVS over Poland/Baltics. Luftwaffe tactics & procedures will not include IRST today. Making proper use of it might be a lot of hassle in training/(un)learing. It could not have been the lack of money this time. 🤷🏻‍♂️
The Luftwaffe really does not want an IRST, for some reason...
