My office joined organizations from across Senate District 52 to sound the alarm on the Constitution Pipeline. New York banned fracking 10 years ago, and our DEC has repeatedly denied applications for the Constitution Pipeline due to the threats it poses to our water quality.

New Yorkers came out last minute in Binghamton today to say NO CONSTITUTION PIPELINE and NO #FRACKING! We showed up because Trump's EPA head @epaleezeldin came to shill for the gas industry and try to run roughshod over our state's authority. WE SAY NO! @GovKathyHochul

Reason number 867 that we need a moratorium on data centers right now.
NEW: xAI appears to have added more than 500 MW (!) of unpermitted gas turbines to its Colossus 2 campus in a matter of weeks, according to internal emails between the company and regulators

Solar is the fastest energy source to scale up, as well as the cheapest to build. Why wait 7-10 years for natural gas startups or 15-20 years for nuclear startups when we can save NYers $1B a year with the ASAP Act? Let’s stop all the nonsense and get this done.

While @GovKathyHochul continues to push the legislature to kill NY's climate law, worth remembering that the scientists who study this are dead set against this effort. Legislators should just say no! politico.com/f/?id=0000019c-…

The NYISO energy reliability assessment shows that gas generation is more expensive than solar AND there is a 7-10 year backlog on new gas turbines.  We need to be adopting actionable solutions like the ASAP Act if we want to improve the reliability of our grid.

@GovKathyHochul Gas is driving the energy affordability crisis. If we change methane accounting, NY will be reliant on “natural” methane gas for decades longer. We'll waste billions on gas pipes that could have been spent on transitioning our economy. empirereportnewyork.com/clim…

Today, NYers rallied outside @GovKathyHochul's State of the State address to demand that she STAND UP FOR THE CLIMATE! We decried how Gov. Hochul has retreated on climate & caved to the fossil fuel industry, and we called for bold climate leadership.

Utilities use outdated policies such as the 100 ft. rule to profit from the expansion of fossil fuels. It’s fracked gas expansion paid for by the ratepayers! Thanks to @GovKathyHochul’s signature, this outdated policy is finally being eliminated! #cleanerheatlowerbills

Today, @GovKathyHochul caved to Trump and approved the dangerous NESE pipeline, a shameful betrayal of millions of New Yorkers she promised to protect. The pipeline endangers our water and will cost us billions more on our energy bills. readme.readmedia.com/Advocat…
