For Marvel fans, she’s best known as Sharon Carter / Agent 13, appearing in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and What If…? as one of the MCU’s longest-running supporting characters. She took Sharon Carter from a loyal S.H.I.E.L.D. agent to one of the most intriguing characters in the Marvel universe.
What made this weekend special was that this was one of her first major fan conventions outside of San Diego Comic-Con. You could tell she wasn’t quite sure what to expect at first, but by the end of the weekend she had won over everyone around her.
She was gracious with fans, kind to staff, appreciative of volunteers, and genuinely engaged with the people who came to meet her. Being part of her security detail gave me a chance to see that firsthand, and it was a privilege to be a small part of that experience.
If Emily decides to do more conventions in the future, she is absolutely someone worth meeting"
