Interested in our work? In the @EuropeVeo consortium we study pathways of disease emergence. One of the case studies focusses on Greenland, a rapidly changing environment for which little is known. We fitted an expedition to collect baseline information. 1/..

Thanks Marion for highlighting our piece on Science on why the world need to start acting now to stop epidemics and pandemics that are being amplified by climate change.
Commentary on climate and pandemics: "Will climate change amplify epidemics and give rise to pandemics? Most certainly yes, if the world stands still". Hear hear science.org/doi/full/10.1126…

I am going to #ISMBECCB2023 and will be presenting this paper on Monday, July 24th, at 14:50! Come by if you want to hear more about large-scale #metagenomic analyses of #antimicrobialresistance #AMR! 🧬🤓
Thrilled to share that the second paper of my PhD has now been published in @PLOSBiology on the large collection of 214K metagenomes that can be used to characterize #AntimicrobialResistance and the #microbiome 📣 journals.plos.org/plosbiolog…

Great work from an ongoing collaboration across many groups and projects: @emblebi, @EuropeVeo, @BYCOVID_eu, @ReCoDID2, @EoscLife, #ELIXIRCONVERGE, @ELIXIREurope.
Delighted we have launched the new Pathogens Portal #pathogensportal, extending beyond COVID-19 to broader disease and pathogens - bringing together data of relevance to infection biology for research and preparedness.
