Amid ongoing intense mediation efforts by Pakistan, we are fully aware of incessant misinformation campaign being waged by those who want to sabotage the peace deal. Setting aside the noise, we can confirm that a final, agreed upon text of the peace deal has been reached and Pakistan is now working closely with both sides to finalize the next steps. Peace has never been this close as it is now.

"I think it's very important to respond. They shot down a helicopter, and we are responding as we speak."
He added: "This is a response to what they did they did with our helicopter last night, and I believe the response should be very strong, very powerful, and that's what this one is."

Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesperson @IRIMFA_SPOX pours cold water on President Trump's statement that he'll make a final determination RE: a MoU between both countries. Baqaei says 'message exchanges between Iran and the U.S. continue, but no final agreement has been reached'. He adds that the discussions don't encompass 'the nuclear issue'.

Further to this reporting by @washingtonpost, a person I spoke to behind the effort to spearhead this through Congress told me they would likely try to get it passed by slipping it in to a larger package so that it got approved more easily. When I asked how confident this person was that it would happen, they told me âOh, weâll get it done.â
