In order to embrace the abolitionist approach to animal rights, it is not necessary to be spiritual or religious, or to be an atheist. You can be a spiritual or religious person, or you can be an atheist, or anything in between. It does not matter.
What does matter is:
(1) that you have moral concern about animals and that you *want* to do right by animals. That moral concern/moral impulse can come from *any* source, spiritual or non-spiritual; and
(2) that you regard as valid the logical arguments that our moral concern should not be limited to some nonhumans but should extend to all sentient beings and that we should abolish, and not regulate, animal exploitation.
And abolition begins with going vegan on a personal level, and creative, nonviolent vegan education on a social level.
I repeat: you can be spiritual; you can be an atheist. It simply does not matter.
What matters is that you regard animals as members of the moral community and that you see that this moral concern requires that we stop eating, wearing, and using animals.
Everything else is a distraction.

Vegans should not donate to the everyday dog, cat, tiger, etc rescues.
There are plenty of 'animal loving' veggies and carnies to do that.
All our donations should be to vegan no kill sanctuaries with the focus on so called farm animals.

The police should use small or large front end loaders with bulletproof glass to break up crowds of savages instead of horses.

He & his buddies at the boar barn are all giant non castrated boars. I have seen them first hand & they are magnificent huge boys. I had to close my eyes at some of the viewpoints 🫣🌰🌰🤣
