A far-right march is planned in Brighton city centre this Saturday 13 June, organised by a group called Raise the Colours, with supporters set to meet at Brighton Station from midday.
In response, a mass counter-protest called the Carnival Against Fascism, backed by a coalition of more than 20 local anti-racist and anti-fascist groups, is gathering at Queen's Road from 11am.
Thousands are expected to attend, with local artists including Baby Dave, Lambrini Girls and Sea Power pledging their support.
Council Leader Bella Sankey (
@BellaSankey) has issued a clear message: "Your message of hatred is not welcome here."
Sussex Police have confirmed plans are in place to facilitate peaceful protest and ensure the safety of everyone in the city.
If you're heading into Brighton tomorrow, expect disruption around the station and Queens Road area.
