They are both correct. I am a stay at home homeschooling mom. My sons are leaning how to cook and clean and do laundry. My daughters are too along with yard work, basic home maintenance, how to put air in tires, changing oil, etc.

Men need to be able to take care of themselves if they aren’t married, and serve their families if their wives are sick or exhausted or just had a baby, etc.
Women need to be able to take care of themselves if they are single, if their husband gets sick, is traveling, etc 2/2
